Dine & Delights @ Sukruti

1944 has always been our go-to place for North Indian food, and it never disappoints! Staying true to its authentic flavors over the years, it continues to serve some of the best North Indian dishes in town. While they now offer a variety of cuisines, their North Indian food still stands out—rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Simply the best!

Indian Accent at Hocco 1944 experience was amazing and unexpectedly outstanding. Each course was presented very well and tasted just perfect with the right flavours. The blue cheese naan and Kashmiri morel mussallum was our favourites. Definitely recommend a try here. Thank you for the Indian Accent experience in Ahmedabad.

The local people are too loud and it’s extremely uncomfortable to dine in such a loud noise.

Very well curated menu by Indian Accent. Service was amazing even though it was super crowded

The food as usual was excellent and I’m in awe of how well they maintain their taste since decades. The Kofta was amazing and the Subzi had rich ingredients. Some change of management seems to have happened which has made the service extremely unprofessional. Extra items were added to the bill, the service was slow and the waiter walked away when we took 2 mins extra to order. I hope this improves in the coming days.

came for lunch on a Monday afternoon - Very pricey compared to food they serve - though quality and taste is great - service was poor - parking is a headache - Valet is there but not available - staff is rude... overall - I will. avoid it for next time

Growing up, Havmor (1944) was a favourite for most families in Ahmedabad. Unfortunately, compared to the service, food and seating arrangements offered by other 'newbies' in the market, 1944 does not make the cut. The tomato soup tastes like the packed soups in the market albeit a little lumpier, and in terms of quantity, at least the soups off the shelves fare better. Seating is terribly cramped and the wet wipes in my bag were an absolute saviour considering the lack of napkins/tissues at our disposal! For those of you whose toddlers enjoy independent dining, the cutlery isn't toddler friendly. We took cue and stopped at the soup! Phew. I visited after over a decade and boy was I disappointed. All that remains of one of Ahmedabad's finest restaurants is it's popular, albeit not accurate, reputation. Besides that, not worth the hype.
