I had a fantastic time and the service played a big part in that. The servers were polite mainly Asha , courteous, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely be returning soon."

Blue Ginger Overall - 4/5 Food - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 6/5 Avg. meal price - 3000 per person We went ahead with the Veg. Tasting menu. Soup: 1. Spicy Mushroom & Bamboo Shoot Lemon Grass Soup - 5/5 (MUST HAVE) - Absolutely loved it! A very Umami feeling! The lemongrass made it’s presence felt, in a good way :P Starters: 1. Wok Tossed Crispy Lotus Stem in Butter Garlic - 3.5/5 - Could be a bit more crispier, flavors on point though 2. Fresh Rice Paper Rolls with Water Chest Nuts - 1/5 - The only thing I disliked completely, could skip this and save your appetite 3. Raw Papaya Salad - 5/5 (MUST HAVE) - Not a salad person but would be one if this is what was served to me every time! Sweet, sour, crunchy and fresh!
Main Course: 1. Silken Tofu With Greens - 5/5 (MUST HAVE) - Super soft tofu, extremely flavorful gravy. Couldn’t have asked for more! 2. Vietnamese Soft Noodles - 5/5 (MUST HAVE) - Soft thin noodles, cooked perfectly with the right amount of garlic, oil and veggies! 3. Mix Vegetables Yellow Curry - 5/5 (MUST HAVE) - Served with some rice, my favorite part of the whole dinner! Absolutely divine! Dessert: 1. Jellied Water Chestnut in Sweetened Coconut Cream - 3.5/5 - Something very unique but definitely not in the best desserts I’ve had. 2. Lychee Ice Cream - 4/5 - Not a lychee fan or else it would be a 5/5, super rich ice cream! Verdict - The ambience is amazing, feels very serene (perfect for date nights I’d say!) The soup and main course stole the show, expected more from the starters and desserts (for the cost)!
Definitely a place I’d visit again but not frequently!

Amazing experience of Vietnamese cuisine. Truly loved the food, we ordered noodles and truly loved how it was cooked. Pricing is also not that high that it holes down your pocket. Though one thing can be about lightening. It can be more ambience friendly. But still it does not take away the charm it gives. Absolutely loved it

It’s not often one gets disappointed at a Taj, but last night I was. We visited the Blue Ginger restaurant at Taj West End at 8pm on a Saturday night. Expecting it to be a busy night, we did make a reservation prior. When we entered, there were just 2 other tables occupied - and we were greeted and served with utmost attention. Our appetisers were served with 5 mins of ordering them, and we were off to a great start to the meal. But…we’d spoken too soon! 25mins later, the empty appetiser plates were still on our table, and not a single server had looked in our direction. After much waving, finally someone looked in our direction and took the main course order. And then the wait began again. As more and more tables filled up, we realised the restaurant was extremely short staffed. Barely a team of 4 to handle all the tables. And so we waited patiently, giving them the benefit of the doubt. Till finally it had been 40mins and nobody had approached us or looked in our direction. Again, after much waving, we managed to catch their attention. And another 10mins post that is when the main course arrived, without even an apology. Wary of having to wait another hour for dessert - we ordered what was obviously a pre-made chocolate mousse, and cautiously asked for the bill right then too. While the food was okay, the ambience was okay (too many mosquitoes at night), the service really brought down the experience, if one is paying upwards of INR 7k for a meal, and that too at a Taj hotel, the expectations are definitely more.

We started with two appetizers, grilled chicken and silken tofu. Chiken was quite chewy and unpleasant, tofu was fine, nothing spectacular about it. I was expecting a lot more, even the experience was quite lacking. Not sure I understand the hype.

Food was not good. It was undercooked and lacked taste. Also the food presentation was not up to the mark considering Taj standards. The service and ambience was good.

Visited for dinner with family, and unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The ambience is very average – a semi-open-air setup that was warm and filled with mosquitoes, making for an uncomfortable dining experience. The real disappointment, however, was the food. Despite being a Vietnamese restaurant, most dishes leaned heavily towards Thai flavors, with little authenticity. We ordered vegetarian food, but a few dishes had a distinct fishy smell – a clear sign of carelessness and lack of respect for vegetarian customers. Beyond that, the food was so underwhelming that I honestly don’t know how they are still in business. The only saving grace, if I can call it that, was that the tasting menu portions were quite large – something that might appeal to a glutton but certainly not to anyone looking for quality dining. To make matters worse, they billed us for an entire bottle of wine when we had only ordered a glass. We only caught this mistake as we were leaving. While we paid without checking at first (trusting a 5-star hotel to get things right), this kind of “error” feels downright dishonest. Overall, a truly disappointing experience. With so many excellent restaurants in Bangalore, I wouldn’t waste my time or money here again.
