Deeply agricultural and experimental: a kitchen laboratory where everything circles back to the land. “Singi”, or Rameshwaram lobster with saffron is a showstopper.
Chef Johnson Ebenezer leads with radical curiosity, turning Karnataka’s soil and seasons into flavour-first menus.

Dining out has become a casual affair nowadays, through offers and delivery from one end of the town to another, it has diluted the whole gastronomical experience, well for me at least. So my visit to farmlore was an attempt to rekindle some of that lost charm. To be honest, places like farmlore and grasshopper never really appealed to me, they were always on my radar, but I could never bring myself to actually commit to a visit. Reviews on Zomato, didn't help their case either, but I wanted to give it a shot and here are my impressions. Ambience expectedly was beautiful, cozy and had a sense of occasion about it, that helped set the tone for what was to come. Everyone who waited on us and interacted with us were well mannered and extremely approachable. We opted against the chef table and were seated in a quiet corner. We opted for the 5 course lunch. I won't go into too much detail as to what was served in each course and how it tasted, because of the changing menu, it would be of no use to you. What I will tell you is that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food in general was delicious, balanced and meticulously thought through, to the point where, the value proposition never crossed my mind. The whole meal was quite filling and I left with a sense of satisfaction that I seldom get spending anything upwards of 3k at any type of restaurant. (Bill for 2 was 7350) So should you visit Farmlore? That depends. If you are the sort that enjoys trying new experiences and are open to exploring something different, you will most likely enjoy the whole experience. If not, you may not come on board what they are looking to offer, and that's perfectly fine. Was I completely blown away by all the dishes? Most of them, Yes. Were some dishes a miss? Yes. Will I visit again? Maybe. Do you think this is something everyone should experience? Absolutely.

TL;DR – A must-try chef-curated experience in Bengaluru. If you love food as art, don’t miss it! The reservation process is smooth, and the team is very accommodating—I even got to reschedule due to a health emergency. The 10-course degustation menu I tried had 3 appetizers, 1 salad, 1 soup, 3 mains, and 2 desserts (changes weekly). Every dish was presented by the chefs themselves, with passion and detail. Arrive early to enjoy their farm and make the most of the journey. It’s truly a MasterChef-level dining experience. Pro tips: • Be on time (it’s a fixed-time experience). • Keep an open mind—some ingredients may surprise you. • They serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian (no chicken/beef, but could be lamb, fish, crab, or even fire ants!). If in doubt, stick to veg.

Farmlore is that one dining experience that lingers for a long time. The thought that goes into curating each and every dish is applause worthy! Took the 10-course weekend lunch meal (highly recommend the 10 course due to the variety), and every dish was a pleasant surprise. The service is top tier. Got to visit the farm after a heavy lunch and learnt a great deal too! Without revealing too much of the dishes themselves (the menu keeps changing + it's good to be surprised), I highly recommend a visit!

One of the finest restaurants I have seen in Bangalore .. The restaurant is worth the price .. 10 courses of which at least 4 were among the best I have seen world over .. The Duck course was as good as the ones in Michelin starred Parisian restaurants .. The Meat course was out of the world .. The small plates were both innovative and yummy .. The chef was extremely friendly and explained all courses in detail and the parking was ample .. Overall worth it and we will be back next month

Such a beautiful restaurant that literally creates a core memory. We just landed and my husband surprised me with lunch to this place. I thoroughly enjoyed every course with a walkthrough from the chefs. The wine pairing suggested was also very delicious. Please do visit for a lovely meal tucked inside a mango farm.

Tasting menu set of an 34 acre farm in the heart of Bangalore city. The food is a treat for the eyes and tastebuds. It’s a farm to table concept. They do a wine pairing as well, some of the most exquisite seafood and lamb.

easily the best service in Bangalore. the whole team gets a gold star for the service and the way the dishes are presented. on the downside most of the dishes were either just good or meh. nothing stood out and some things just didn't have a pack a punch of flavour. the earlier courses were definitely great but as the meal went on the courses especially the mains were very underwhelming. the lobster could have been fresher and the duck was definitely on the chewy sides. for what ur paying I think the experience is worth it - in the sense of service, new varieties of food, the molecular gastronomy experience but if ur looking just at the food it's a tad pricy.

Gave up on the booking! Wanted to get it for 8 people but it wasn’t allowed on their website! The poc called eventually after contacting them on Instagram! Only to be met with condescending tone and inventive justification which I never asked for! First they told me 6 is only available seats When explained they quickly remembered oh max 6 is the policy they follow for booking irrespective of the number of seats available! Then they gave me a wild idea, that I should have proceeded with two bookings, 1 for 6 and other for 2!!! Who in their right mind would ever do that without knowing if after 1 booking second booking will still be available? As if it’s all my fault I couldn’t plan the thing! They are a very proud owner of monday and tuesday as that’s their holiday and nothing in world can reach out to them on these two days!! Felt like I saved myself from what would have been otherwise a tragic experience of dealing with extremely rude staff and souring food experience!! Guess they failed to understand that food taste depends a lot on the mood of the person who is eating it! And yuck!!!

Booked for an an important Birthday 3 weeks in advance and mentioned that it was birthday and that we wanted to sit at a table. When we arrive we find that we are at the bar seating and was met by incredibly rude attitude by the staff and was told to adjust. Seriously wtf. Completely ruined an important day.
