Heaven in the form of the most delicious and delightful food ever, Paragon is an absolute gem of a restaurant. A gastronomical experience of a lifetime, their appam, chicken curry, nool parotta were excellent and flavourful and so was their signature elaneer pudding, a unique dessert of its kind. The service was also exceptional. Worth the 20 minute wait to get a table and Definitely lives upto the hype of being one of the best restaurants in Asia.

Review: Paragon, St. Marks Road – A Delightful Dive into Kerala’s Culinary Soul ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Tucked in the bustling heart of St. Marks Road, Paragon delivers a dining experience that’s equal parts refined and nostalgic. Though we had a 30-minute wait before being seated, the vibrant neighborhood gives you plenty to explore. That said, a call-back feature from the receptionist would’ve made the wait seamless – a small detail that could elevate the overall experience. Once inside, the culinary journey began on a strong note. The Chef’s Special Prawns and Kanthari Fish set the tone – well-balanced flavors, bold yet clean, and a standout freshness in the prawns that’s rare to find. The kanthari chili lent a subtle heat without overwhelming the palate, striking a fine balance between spice and finesse. Next came the much-anticipated Pandan Chicken, Paragon’s signature dish. Wrapped like a gift in banana leaves and plated with care, this dish was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the tastebuds. The chicken was tender, delicately spiced, and carried a fragrant note that was unique yet comforting – an ode to Kerala’s understated elegance in food. For the main course, we indulged in Appams, Nool Paratha, and the raved-about Mango Fish Curry. The appams were a textbook success – beautifully crisp edges that gave way to a soft, cloud-like center. The nool paratha, often hard to get right, was a revelation: airy, soft, and perfect for soaking up gravies. But the true star of the meal was the Mango Fish Curry. It boasted a creamy, velvety texture with just the right touch of sweetness from the mango. The fish was tender, and the curry struck a harmonious chord of tang, spice, and depth – easily one of the best renditions of this dish we’ve encountered in recent times. We followed that with steamed rice and Acchan Chicken Curry, which was bold and soulful. While the gravy was deeply flavorful, the chicken pieces themselves were a slight letdown – a tad chewy and not quite up to par. Still, the robust curry made it hard to complain for long. To wrap things up, we tried the Yelneer Pudding and Chatta Mary Pudding – both beautifully presented and the perfect finish to the meal. The yelneer pudding was light, refreshing, and delicate with its tender coconut notes, while the Chatta Mary brought a richer, more indulgent close – a well-balanced finale. ⸻ Verdict: Paragon lives up to its legacy with warm service, a thoughtfully curated menu, and flavors that transport you straight to the heart of Malabar. While there’s room for small improvements, the overall experience is thoroughly enjoyable. Rating: 4.5/5 – A must-visit for lovers of Kerala cuisine and anyone seeking a memorable meal in Bangalore.

A Culinary Gem Worth the Wait: Paragon, Bangalore If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Kerala in the heart of Bangalore, Paragon is the place to be. Be prepared for a crowd—we waited about 45 minutes for a table—but trust me, the first bite makes you forget the clock immediately. It was absolutely worth it! The Highlights: Nool Porotta & Chicken Curry: The porotta was flaky, stringy perfection. Paired with their rich, aromatic chicken curry, it’s a soul-satisfying combination that hits all the right notes. Chef’s Special Tiger Prawns: This was the undisputed star of the night. The prawns were massive, juicy, and coated in a spice blend that was bold yet balanced. Malabar Biryani: Unlike the spicy local variants, this was subtle, fragrant, and packed with that signature short-grain rice goodness. Truly authentic. The Experience: Despite the massive rush, the hospitality was top-notch. The staff remained attentive and managed the crowd with a smile, ensuring the food arrived piping hot. If you haven't been yet, clear your schedule and head over! Love discovering hidden gems and honest reviews? Well this place has been on my radar for a very long time now. We had been here at their base branch in Kozhikode long time back and thrilled that they have opened in Bangalore! Food - The fish polichatthu was good, the chicken onion soup was out of the world (so filling and sumptuous), the ghee chicken was tad lowon salt, the appams were great, the Aaam panna was great, the biryani was good, the mutton roast was quite average. The desserts were killer! Both the custard pudding and the coconut flan were smashing Ambience- Just like a family dining place. Simple decor Customer Service- Allright Value for money- Moderate

Date Visited:22nd June 2025 When we visited we see about 100 members waiting. In any other restaurant , you need to remember the S.No of your waiting list, whereas here you need to remember the page number also. After about 1.5 hours of waiting, we got a table. Its a Small restaurant, if compared to the hype and demand and waiting. Butter Garlic prawns- No rate mentioned in the MENU and it was mentioned as todays special. 6 Small prawns served and the charge was 800/-. Surprised with it.. Biryani regular- Chicken quantity is very very less for the price being charged and this restaurant is known for its biryani. on top of it , it was very oily . Nool Paratha was also not up to mark, it was hard and looked like it was reheated and not fresh. Over all, there are many other Kerala or coastal restaurants which I find to be better for the quality, quantity and price.

This place was recommended by a friend, but the experience was disappointing. We were seated quickly, but they only gave one menu for a table of four and when we asked for another, they provided the previous day’s menu. Food took a long time to arrive and we even found a hair in the chicken curry. Basic things like finger bowls weren’t provided to everyone. Overall, the food was average but the service was poorly managed and the staff seemed untrained. Instead of enjoying dinner with family, I had to keep chasing the waiters

We scheduled the food via online and got it after 85 mins. The food was extremely bad, the biriyani was stale and the chicken was hard and it tasted really bad (dated 25th March 26) We literally threw the biriyani and complained through the app however restaurant denied and they did not take any responsibility. For the money they charge this is extremely criminal. We are done with Paragon and not going to order or visit them again!!

The food did not live up to my expectations. It was either bland or extremely spicy. More importantly the prawns did not taste fresh. Did not understand what the hype is about.
