Feels like dining at an aunt’s home: warm, and intimate as she loads you up on kori gassi, mutton cutlets, temple-style pachadis, and filter coffee.

Had lunch at BOC. It was a pure and honest, out of the world, culinary experience. It was surreal dream, heavenly Oota. From concept to the curated Menu to the service - it’s an amazing journey. And Mr Sheel’s conversations alongside are a treat

We had the absolute best time at BOC. We celebrated my husband’s birthday. The hospitality, food, ambience - everything was top notch. The owner/host was extremely warm and indulged us in a lovely conversation about her journey with BOC and food. Ritik, our server, was warm and jolly. He even asked us if we would like to get some of our favourite dishes packed to take home! The best part - the food (Gowda and Mangalore cuisine). The egg ghee roast, golibaje and the badam halwa were divine. At some point we lost count of the number of extra servings we took. No regrets. Must try BOC if you manage to get a reservation. We’re definitely coming back with friends and family.

A different intimate experience, they served a variety of traditional south indian dishes. The portion size may look small but trust me they are not! Oh I was so full by the end of the meal and the coffee at the end just sealed it. Loved the fish fry especially as it was fresh and the chicken curry and dessert was to die for! Its 3k per person which is slightly pricey but I guess we are paying for the experience and fresh food after all.

We went there last night & to be honest we’re lost in the simplistic & so calming ambience on entering. Was greated by staff warmly. We had a corner seat to ourselves. Coming to the food .. we were served 9-10 items & I don’t think any words can do justice to the taste. We were lost in the food & the stories around it which were shared from time to time by the owner. Please so there once to experience the greatness. I am still in awe & would look forward to my next visit Best items I tasted: Goli baje (don’t think there is a better baje than that), Hotikenbele saaru with neer dosa & goworu pulao (which we carried also back with us😊)

So this is A home like restaurant which makes it unique and it is fine..... There are 4,5 tables in a cosy environment. you have to ring a bell to enter here. They will serve you a fixed menu with good variety Now come to the taste...so if you are like me who have tasted almost all kind of cuisines around the world and always looking to explore more... Sorry to say Nothing Special Here...the taste is just average...have eaten same dishes with much better taste be it curd rice, Mangalore bada, badam halwa or rasam. Now come to the ingredients so they were fresh. and yes it is absolutely not worth 2k per person Won't recommend

Dining here will go down as one of the more memorable and satiating meals I've ever had. The spread is vast, the flavours are homely and the order of dishes is well curated. It costs as good as a fine dine restaurant but definitely worth the visit.

Bengaluru Oota Company If you are as passionate about Indian regional food as I am, then Bengaluru Oota Company is a must-visit destination in Bengaluru. Located in the charming Halasuru/Ulsoor area, this restaurant is perfect for those who want to experience and showcase the rich culinary traditions of India, specifically Gowda and Mangalorean cuisines from Karnataka. In a city increasingly drawn to international flavours, Bengaluru Oota Company beautifully bridges the gap to authentic local tastes. This homestyle restaurant offers a unique tasting room experience with an intimate dining setting. The daily changing menu mirrors the variety of home-cooked meals, where every dish tells a story, culminating in a fairytale ending with Ammani Jamuns and their signature filter coffee. Our meal began with a refreshing glass of buttermilk, perfect for cooling down in the unassuming Bangalore summer. The sight of a banana leaf placed in front of me filled me with joy, as it is my favourite way to enjoy any Indian meal. This was followed by a delightful succession of dishes, each accompanied by engaging food conversations with Divya and the chef. We started with Kosambari (salad) and Goli Baje, a nostalgic Mangalorean snack served with chutney. The Kane (lady fish) rava fry is a dream come true for any Mangalorean, with fresh fish fried to perfection. The Koli Saaru, a Gowda preparation, had a wonderful flavour and texture that paired beautifully with akki and ragi roti. The prawn biryani, made in the Mangalore Christian style, sparked an interesting discussion about the types of aromatic rice. We all agreed that South Indians have a special love for short grain aromatic rice. The mutton pepper chops were tender, with the spice and aroma of pepper enhancing the dish, while the chicken fry reminded me of the beloved chicken 65, showcasing the excellent quality of meat used. The meal continued with piping hot rasam and palyas (subji), yellow pumpkin, beetroot, and snake gourd, along with a delicious peanut chutney, rounding out this homestyle feast. Just when I thought it was time for dessert, a bowl of creamy curd rice topped with pomegranate seeds appeared, served with the seasonal treat of mensakai (mango curry), bringing back fond memories of my mother’s cooking. The Ammani Gulab Jamun has its own history and story, but I’ll leave that for you to discover when you visit. The meal concluded with a frothy cup of Karnataka filter coffee, the perfect end to a culinary journey through Karnataka's heritage flavours. Bengaluru Oota Company offers an unforgettable experience, paying heartfelt tribute to the rich culinary traditions of Karnataka.

From the wait outside the door when you knock and wait for it to open to the food, and the walk out saying goodbye. This is a journey, a gastronomical journey where you not just enjoy but also learn about what you see on your plate and about the people who curated the experience for you. Some never before tried delicacies, and amazing conversations later, you get to go home thinking when you should come back again. All i will say is everything tastes fantastic and is the freshest and best cooked i have ever had. The pictures do not do any justice. You need to go there to find out. Prebook 24hrs in advance.

Unbelievably good food! This place is run in a house by an amazing host who is warm, knowledgeable about food and loves to feed people. The place is unpretentious, has good service timeline and serves an amazing culinary experience. Starting with some great goli baje and chutney, fried fish(super fresh), special pappads with koshimbir, mutton pulao, best in the world prawn ghee roast, dessert, coffee and a few more items. Complete justice to the money and hype. It's well worth multiple visits for the taste and hospitality.
