Being a true blue Tamilian, I love our sambhar which is spicy and not like the sweet ones that you get in Karnataka. After moving to Bangalore, I was so homesick and was craving for the real spicy sambhar. My search ended here...their idli-sambhar- red chutney combo is to die for... Their sambhar -pongal combo is out of the world. It almost tasted like my mom's dishes straight out of her kitchen... Not too oily and very light on the stomach. Their full meals combo has the traditional garlic gravy ( poondu vatha kulambu). It's one of the least known treasures of Tamilian cuisine. Please don't miss it. You don't find it many restaurants these days . It tastes as authentic as the ones you get in the chettinadu region of Tamil Nadu where it's known for. If you would like to taste how reals meals taste in a Tamilian home, please visit this unassumingly charming food joint.

This small south Indian restaurant is just below my workplace. So I visit this place quite often. This place is very pocket friendly. All the dishes I have had here were delicious. I have tried podi idli, ghee masal dosa, masala rawa dosa, paper dosa, idiyappam, sambhar vada etc and not a single dish has ever disappointed me. They have very courteous staff and a very friendly hotel owner. The service is quick and up to the mark. Do visit this place for lip smacking South Indian, pocket friendly food.

The best authentic Tamil style sambhar makes me to order again and again. Thanks for mylapore cafe to retain Tamil style in Bangalore. I'd recommend all to try this "Real" South Indian food.

Anyone missing chennai sambar, mylapore cafe is the answer. Hot piping pongal with sambar but gets over quickly. Onion podi uthapam and kothu parotta stands out.

One more Tamilnadu style restaurant in HSR layout. They serve different varieties of Tamilnadu style breakfast items, especially the podi idli and podi dosa. I have tried Mini Podi Idli, Poori Total price ₹ 100 The mini podi idli was my favourite item, it was little bit spicy 🔥. The chutney and sambar were purely good.

Under-rated restaurant. Went in without an expectations. Ghee Pongal with Vada was top notch. Masala Dosa with their unique sambar must try. Not a great ambience. But the quality of their food will bring back first timers like me.
