best food !!! Had an incredible dining experience at Kimaya with their exquisite 13-course meal! The presentation was impeccable, and every dish was served with such creativity and elegance. A must-visit for those who appreciate authentic yet modern South Indian cuisine. Perfect for celebrating special occasions with a delightful mix of taste and artistry!

Experience was good. But all the dishes in Anika course was on a sweeter note.

The restaurant aims to deliver a five-star dining experience, but unfortunately, the execution fell short across several key areas. Starting with the décor, the overall aesthetic was pleasant and thoughtfully designed. However, a closer look revealed visible wear and tear, with a few broken or poorly maintained elements that detracted from the premium positioning the restaurant is trying to project. Additionally, the presence of mosquitoes throughout the meal significantly affected comfort and attention to detail—something unexpected at this level of dining. The food itself was mixed. While some dishes were acceptable, a few were notably underwhelming, both in flavour and execution. More importantly, the meal lacked a sense of identity or emotion. The dishes felt technically assembled rather than thoughtfully crafted, resulting in food that lacked soul and storytelling—an essential element in fine dining. Service was the most inconsistent aspect of the experience. We were seated at the far end of the restaurant, in a crowded corner with too many tables placed close together, which limited movement and made the space feel cramped rather than refined. At times, service was slow, with long gaps between courses; at other times, dishes arrived hurriedly, disrupting the natural pacing of the meal. Multiple servers attended to our table instead of a single dedicated host. This led to repeated interruptions, confusion, and the same questions being asked multiple times—particularly regarding which course we were on. This lack of coordination felt unprofessional and diminished the sense of being cared for as guests. Menu explanations also felt rehearsed rather than engaging. Servers recited dish names and descriptions mechanically, without enthusiasm or personal insight, which removed any sense of connection to the food. During a short break when we stepped away from the table, the food was left uncovered and unattended. Upon returning, the dish had gone cold, and no explanation or acknowledgment was offered. For a restaurant positioning itself as high-end, this was a notable lapse. Toward the end of the meal, the experience felt rushed. The bill was presented without asking whether we were ready, followed shortly by the final course (the mouth freshener). This sequence disrupted what should have been a composed and graceful conclusion to the dining experience. Additionally, empty bottles and used straws were not cleared throughout the three-hour meal, further impacting table presentation. Overall, while the restaurant has potential in terms of concept and ambience, the lack of attention to service flow, coordination, and guest experience prevented it from delivering a true fine-dining standard.

Amazing food But here is the problem I visited avartana some months back On booking reservation i clearly asked them that can 3-4 courses be repeated they said its totally fine On reaching there Reality was completely different They directly denied it saying only one course can be repeated On top of that their on ground female manager was even rude Expected a lot better service from a 5 star resturant

I booked Avartana for dinner yesterday and was incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied and still hungry by the end of it. We opted for the Bela, the 9 course non vegetarian meal and unfortunately it had maybe two decent meat dishes in the entire lineup. it felt primarily vegetarian. the combinations honestly made no sense, like a prawn dumpling with gun powder. they both had two separate strong flavours going on and together didn't make sense. the appam with coconut curry seemed too basic to be included in such a fancy sit down and the asparagus with it was just a downer. I did not understand the seafood fritter and the rice, the tamarind sour/sweetness was so overpowering . I didn't quite understand the combination either, it was such a bad mix and match. most dishes had a very sweet taste which was off putting. I found the place to be overrated and very expensive which wasn't worth the wait or the money. the lamb dish was a downer too, it had so many different tastes that it felt rushed and confused. unfortunately, there wasn't anything worth appreciating and that includes the ambience, which was so bright, that it burnt my eyes and felt so jarring . I was so surprised that the menu didn't have a basic chicken dish. overall, it wasn't a great experience and definitely not filling.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. 😩 We chose this expecting a special, luxurious experience. A 9 course veg menu at that price comes with a certain expectation , not just of presentation, but of flavour, balance, and basic care. Yes, the dishes looked beautiful. Every plate came out like a piece of art. Elegant. Thoughtful. Instagram worthy. But what is the point of stunning presentation if the food itself feels confused? Most of the courses had such bizarre combinations that it felt like experimentation for the sake of sounding innovative, not for actually tasting good. Flavours clashed instead of complementing each other. There was no comfort, no harmony, just shock value. Then came the worst part.. On the way back home , just 45 minutes, my stomach started gurgling and burning. By the time I reached home, I had severe diarrhoea. The entire drive back was uncomfortable and stressful. After paying such a high amount for what is supposed to be a “luxury dining experience” 🙄🤮

The food may be good but the service was very slow! It wasn’t just us, other guests had complained as well. They took a very long time to serve.

It was absolutely disgusting to find hair in my food , running such a huge establishment and hygiene being compromised is unacceptable.
