I’ve been a frequent visitor to Impasta ever since they replaced Nolita at this location. Nevertheless, I came to know that Nolita’s been replaced only after my visit to this place. Since then they’ve revamped their menu a couple of times if I’m not wrong. Usually this place is cozy and quiet for lunch and definitely not the same during the evening. They’ve definitely improved their portion size which was poor earlier. Service is good but could always be better as I dined for my anniversary and they couldn’t offer me the table in which I once had my first diner date with my wife. The quality of the ingredients and the cheese they use is top notch, at least to me, might be better quality products. The outdoor dining forever stays below average, could improve them for sure.

This is my most favourite Italian restaurant ever. Whenever I come to Chennai I visit this restaurant. Atleast monthly once I come here to eat mushroom cappalachi and berry bomb brûlée. Trust me you will never eat this kinda pasta ever.

A cosy place . Best place for pasta in Chennai. A very very different varieties of pasta . More importantly everything is made fresh come scratch.

I visited this place on my short trip to Chennai .. on a Monday for lunch. It was perfect because there was barely anyone and it was quiet.. the staff ( and there was only one person that was attending.. ) was really nice and very helpful. On this occasion they didn't have the pastas ( probably because it was a weekday and we showed up pretty early at 12pm). We had the cream of mushroom soup, the fried raviolis and the Ricotta and caramelised onion pizza. Everything was fresh and really flavourful. We also had their Fresh OJ (there was musambi instead of orange but still pretty good). To end the meal we had their Basque cheese cake that came with caramel sauce on the side. Wasn't too sweet or heavy on the palate..a perfect end to a delectable meal. I am not sure what it's like when it's busy but I had a calm lunch here. The price is a little on the higher end but the quantity is pretty great Sorry I have no pictures because my phone was charging :P

I guess I have been to this place before, but with a different name, but saw this place through zomato and wanted to try. Ordered the fried ravioli and wood fried garlic cheese bread for starters. Both were very good. For the mains, we ordered 4 cheese pesto pasta, broccoli gnocchi pasta and chef arul's garden pizza. The pastas were exorbitantly priced for the quantity served. Taste wise was good but very less portion size which was a huge disappointment. Pizza was decent but a better portion size than the pastas. For desserts we ordered the afagatto, which was very refreshing. Overall, a bit pricey for the quantity served, but a cozy and pretty ambience to hang out with your folks.

The taste is good but the cost of pasta is 500-600 it serves only one in a tiny plate & cannot be shared by 2 so the quantity is very less not worth the money I don't understand why they charge so much for pasta which is very disappointing 😕

We ordered garlic bread. The garlic bread was more like garlic naan with cheese on top. The bread was hard and had no taste of garlic and was bland. We asked for mayonnaise for the starters and their reply was that they did not have it. We asked for tomato ketchup too. They said they had it but they never gave it to us. We asked two times. The pizza was just toppings on a naan with the corners crispy a bit. The only reason I gave this restaurant two stars was because the pasta we ordered was very good. It was very creamy and cheesy. The name of it was ‘3 Farfalle Pasta’. The only thing which was good in which we had ordered was the pasta. The service was not good. They took too much time to serve the food to us. We asked for tomato ketchup and they never gave it to us. They kept telling excuses. Don’t think this review is fake, it is genuine and what had happened.

Went here on a Saturday night and was so empty. the food was terrible, something as simple as garlic bread had no hint of garlic!!! We sent it back. Mushroom soup tasted mainly like a spiced cream soup with a barely mushroom taste. Ricotta caramelized onion pizza was so overdone, it tasted like tomato onion curry with MDH masala. Priced like Elba, but taste like A2B. We canceled the rest of the order and left. They didn't even have a proper sign board for the restaurant, it has a sticker with the restaurant name on the door and has the same interiors as Nolita which was there earlier. Super disappointed.
