This is one of the best places in Chennai for having Thattu idly. Their other food varieties are also very good. Must try vegetarian restaurant in Chennai

Basic Restaurant serving predominantly south Indian cuisine, located right outside the IIT Madras campus. . I had been longing to taste puttu, quite a popular dish in Tamil Nadu. It's a steam conditioned dish, that's light on the stomach & definitely healthy. . °°Ordered °° 1. Thatte Masala Dosa - 4/5 2. Paneer Puttu - 4/5 3. Pomegranate juice 4. Fresh Lemonade . So the thatte dosa is based out of the powdered finger millet batter, way too healthy ; ) The dips ranged from the authentic sambar to tangy mint chutney. . Paneer puttu - a ground rice layered with coconut powder, together steamed in a puttu container, coming to the paneer, so the paneer puttu that I ordered was rather of different structure all together, a patty of capsicum, paneer and diced tomatoes were sandwiched between the puttu. It did taste good. Only backoff was the paneer, it was way too chewy. Definitely a decent first taste experience. . Overall: Food : 4/5 Value for money: 4/5

Searched for a dine in Velachery.. fortunately find Nandhinee sweets very near to me.. surprised to see manager Mr.Vasu there … I am a long time customer of Kodambakkam. Very soon will be here too.. ambience, taste all r good … Small request to them to slightly improve the thattu idly taste, which was not like the one I had in Kodambakkam. Rest all as usual great..

pathetic service. the waiter says he will only take our order once and refused to take follow up orders. to make matters worse, these guys never let us use the 20% offer on distric app. every time we have to fight with them in order to use the offer. no business ethics. the only reason we go there is because the food is decent.
