Spacious place. Comfortable seating. The paper roast is really thin and absolutely crisp. Yet it is not oily. The sambar has a unique taste. Unlike most restaurants which serve only onion sambar, this restaurant serves other varieties. They have introduced vetti ver sarbath as a drink. It has just the right taste, and is not artificially sweetened.

I came to know about this newly opened restaurant through an Instagram post. I ordered Idli, Paper roast, Lava Podi idly and Poondu 🧄 Kolambu. The order came at the promised time. Packing is good. Taste wise we are disappointed ☹️. The paper roast was ZERO crispy. See the picture. It is actually hard to eat and unable to complete it. I had a crisper Paper roast received in broken form from other places. But having the name of the restaurant as a paper roast, I was expecting better. We cannot consider it as normal dosai as well. Idly was good while Lava Podi Idly was excellent. The sambar accompanying Idly and paper roast was not great. The chutney came straight from the refrigerator. It was so chill even after delivery time not suitable to enjoy with warm food. Poondu 🧄 Kolambu was again totally disappointing. Pricing is slightly on the higher side considering the quantity (smaller size/ portion) and taste. Overall it was a disappointing experience for me.

My recent visit to the restaurant was a mixed bag of culinary experiences. The highlight was the Paper Roast, which lived up to its reputation with its crispy texture and authentic flavor—certainly the only dish that fully delivered on its promise. However, the meal started on a confusing note with what was supposed to be Spot Idly, priced at INR 104. Instead, I was served two mini Onion Uttapams topped with a sprinkle of podi. The staff explained that these were uttapams made using idly batter on the spot, a justification that felt unsatisfactory and somewhat misleading. The Lava Idly, described as an idly soaked in podi and oil, was tasty but fell short of its sensationalized description. It wasn't quite the showstopper I anticipated. Unfortunately, the beverages did not impress. The Rose Milk was disappointingly akin to plain milk and is something I would suggest skipping. On a positive note, the Red Chutney was a standout, offering a robust flavor that paired well with the otherwise average Sambar. I didn't personally try the Masala Dosa, but feedback from my table indicated it was enjoyable. Financially, the bill came to INR 470, which included a 1L bottle of water. Given the overall experience and the restaurant’s ambiance, I found this to be slightly expensive. The experience took a turn for the worse when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the food. The cashier responded by throwing my card back at me—an action that was both shocking and completely unacceptable. Neither the cashier nor the head chef had the courtesy to apologize for the misunderstanding or their behavior. In a competitive hospitality market that includes renowned names like Sangeetha, Akshayam, and Eating Circles on the same street, such a dismissive attitude towards customer feedback is detrimental. Despite some culinary highlights, the lack of professionalism shown by the staff makes me hesitant to return or recommend this establishment. Update - The manager from cafe Pramadham (parent brand) of this outlet had called and apologised for their attitude and assured that they have taken this matter seriously.

really bad dosa. cheese dosa is a sham. very low and cheap quality cheese . even roadside vendors give far better quality cheese. had to leave the dosa just after 2 bites and the staff there didn't even bother to ask if there was anything wrong with the food .
