The star of the meal was the Mutton Curry — tender pieces of mutton immersed in a spicy, aromatic gravy that paired beautifully with the fluffy steamed rice. The Chicken Curry was equally delightful, with a tangy and rich masala that hit all the right notes. The sides were equally impressive: a fiery Fish Curry with bold flavors, a crispy Fish Fry that was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and a spicy Mutton Chukka that added depth to the meal. The variety of chutneys and sambar provided balance, while the rasam offered a warm, tangy finish. Every component of the meal was thoughtfully prepared, making it a complete and satisfying experience. If you’re looking for an authentic Chettinadu non-veg meal, this is the place to go

I recently dined at Virunthombal Chettinadu and had the pleasure of trying both the Fish Fry and Biryani. The Fish Fry was absolutely delicious — perfectly marinated with Chettinadu spices, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. It had a bold, authentic flavor that was perfectly complemented by a tangy chutney. As for the Biryani, it was an exceptional experience. The rice was perfectly cooked with a fragrant blend of spices, and the mutton was tender and flavorful. The balance of spices in both dishes was spot on, and the portions were generous. It was a delightful meal from start to finish.

A Delightful Dish – Fish fry and Borata with chicken I recently tried the Fish fry and Borata with chicken at Virunthombal Chettinadu Restaurant, and it was an absolute treat! The fish was perfectly cooked, tender, and infused with the rich, aromatic spices of the Chettinadu cuisine. The crust was crispy, adding a great texture to the dish. The flavors were well-balanced, with just the right amount of heat. It's a must-try for seafood lovers looking to experience something unique. The accompanying chutneys were a perfect match, enhancing the overall taste. Highly recommend this dish!.

Virunthombal Chettinadu is one of my favorite spots, and I highly recommend it. The ambiance is wonderful, and the way they treat customers is friendly and welcoming. I specifically tried the tandoori, parotta, Chettinadu chicken masala, prawn masala, tawa chicken, butter naan, chicken 65, biryani, and chicken fried rice. The day was truly fulfilling, with enjoyable and tasty food. The quality and quantity of the food are excellent, and the menu offers a wide variety of options. There are still many more dishes to try, so I highly recommend that you all give it a try!

The food quality is excellent, and the menu offers a wide variety of options, but two must-try items are their tandori Chicken and Mutton Soup.
