We were looking for a chilled-out place near the beach. This place was almost empty during lunch and well, its usually a red flag but we decided to ignore it and go in with our fingers crossed. We got ourselves a nice sea-facing table and placed out orders. We had Goan pork, calamari, prawns and some rice. We customized the order to our liking and got it the way we wanted it. Food was overall good but service was slower than expected. Not a bad place as the reviews make it out to be.

I went there with family. It's on Baga Beach. The view was awesome from this restaurant, the breeze, the sound of sea waves make you feel better but if it comes to food the taste was average, not that great not that bad. Service was very slow. Only thing I liked about this restaurant was that the Hukka prices were less as compared to the other restaurants nearby the place. Rest you'll like being there.

One word to summarise bad food. This is my third visit to this place and all the time food was very sad. Overall the place is good to party with good music and nice sitout in shamiyana. However the food makes it worse

I was there on 17-Dec-2021 with my wife and I choose cafe Laval among all beachside bars and restaurants just because of music, we ordered drinks and food when I saw they were continuously playing south Indian songs I requested to play some Hindi or Punjabi song not very much just 1 or 2 because it was very long I was listening south Indian songs but the guy who was playing DJ asked 500/- bucks to play the song. I was like it was so mean that I am spending thousands of bucks there on food and drinks just to get enjoy the music and surrounding even after they are charging for music. it was a really bad experience for me and I will not seriously recommend it to anyone to go there. if someone spending money on food and want to enjoy going anywhere elsewhere at least the restaurant respect your presence about the food there is no speciality that one can not find it anywhere else. only simple plain menu which can be found everywhere around the beach. Thanks

Cafe laval is the absolute worst place to visit when in Goa. The food we were served was half eaten and stale. The staff was extremely rude and voilent . After informing the management about the food and the behaviour of the staff. The manager was even more arrogant and rude. After we refused to consume and pay for the half eaten food we were forced to pay the bill. The other guest at cafe laval were too nosy and started fights. The staff and manager had no control over the restaurant and staff members. This place had me worried for my safety. I would not recommend cafe laval even to buy a bottle for water

They took away our money 4506/- plus and never gave back the owner the waiter does not answers our call we kept calling asking for our money refund which was debited twice we sent all the proofs but they don’t ans our calls don’t reply we will soon file a complain against the owner and the waiter for not returning our money which is only 4506/- they are cheaters if they don’t return will soon file complaint for us 4.5k is a huge amount bcoz we earn hard for it

Hookah seved is not covered in menu and staff will overcharge if ur a tourist.Behavior of staff is very rude and service provided is worst once u enter n book a table. Least recommend place for anyone who is visiting with a group or solo
