I have no idea why it's so low in ratings. My experience with this cafe has been amazing. The ambience needs no mention - small, cozy, amazing! We ordered Hot Garlic Chicken Wings - It was spicy, tasted good, sufficient quantity (8 pieces). Would have been better had it been boneless. Chicken Alfredo Spaghetti - It tasted extremely well. Neither too creamy nor soggy. Perfect blend of the perfect white sauce consistency. Quantity was too little. Sufficient for one. Chicken Piccata - I loved this dish. It was normal chicken cutlet with not much of spicy and a crunchy coat. Served with mashed potato and fried veggies. Mashed potatoes do work wonders with chicken. Not much will like my choice but I found it out of box and amazing! Classic Mojito - DISAPPOINTED. It was too sugary. Too soury. Don't go for it. (Only disappointment) The staff service was excellent. Ambience was perfect. Food was great. A bit on the pricier side but definitely worth a try. It won't disappoint you. :)

Excellent Cafe. Nice Decor and food quality and quantity is very good with reasonable prices. The varieties of beverages are also nice.

I went on a casual late lunch here and it was perfect around 3-4pm with minimal crowd and proper service. Ambience - 4/5 Jazz themed place with cool and peppy background music. Good ambience for dates. Outside seating available (Summers are tough) Nice for clicking pictures. The food was better than I had hoped for so it was a delightful experience. Tried the following items : 1) Cheesy Chilli chicken - 3.8/5 There was a flavorful tang with the cheesy touch to our conventional chilli chicken. It was a new experience and would recommend it. 2) Wine Batter Fish - 3/5 The coating was flavorful but the fish inside lacked marination. The dip served with it eclipsed the flavor of the fish. It was an okay experience. 3) Mushroom Cheese Garlic Bread - 4.5/5 I personally thanked the chef later for this dish. It tasted amazing. The balance of cheese and the garlicky flavor to the bread coated inside with the soft bite of the mushroom just made this the best dish I had here. Would Highly recommend it! 4) Dry chilli pork with Ginger Lemon Rice - 3/5 The rice was flavorful and complimented the Pork pretty well. The only fault being I am not a fan of lean pork and they served lean pork. Also the salt balance was not proper. Would recommend it but make sure you pass on a note to the chef beforehand on how you like your pork. 5) Cola Mojito - 4/5 This will be my go to drink from now on. Complimented my food pretty well. Would recommend it. They are open to suggestions and feedback. And that is something I liked here. The serving staff is cordial and prompt. So no qualms there. :) Chef "Debraj Banerjee" did an amazing job with the items specially the Garlic Bread..!! Overall I would rate this place a - 4/5 and would recommend it for dates and casual lunch. The pocket pinch is also bearable for the quality of food served.

Cafe by the Lane is a famous cafe chain in Kolkata, mainly due to its instagrammable interior. We went to the Barrackpore outlet and here’s our experience - :: PRO :: 1. The cafe is instagrammable indeed. 2. Pork dishes are available here, which is still rare in Barrackpore’s restaurant. 3. Coffee Art is done here whenever you order a cappuccino. 4. The food is decent. 5. The location is just a walk away Barrackpore railway station. :: CON :: 1. They need improvement with dishes cooked in barbecue sauce. 2. Staff is still amateur in service. Must-Try: Grilled Sandwiches, Cappuccino, Pork Chilli.

Quant little cafe located near the Barrackpore rail lines. Beautifully decorated, but in a tiny space. Service is slow. Some of the food could use a seasoning check. Pros - Milkshakes were almost a meal on their own. Not too sweet either. Loved them. The garlic bread was good. The portion size is decent. Cons - The pork tenderloin was too salty and on the tougher side. Would not recommend. Can get very loud when crowded owing to the smaller space. Will probably go back for the milkshakes (and saw some sandwiches being served on the other table, looked delish).

❤ : 1. Food 2. Drinks (1) 3. Cozy Ambience 4. Near Barrackpore Station, easy to find out. If you don't know the road name..just use google map. 💔 : 1. Price 2. Personally...I dont like 'purple mojito'..... They suggested to have that drink when I askd for the good one..but unfortunately didn't like.😐😒

We visited the restaurant on a regular evening and the ambience with light music was great. We ordered cheesy chicken wings which costed 320 for 8 pieces. I will say it was worth the price and the dish was delicious. But the total experience was ruined when the stuff changed our table to a 2 seat and it was very uncomfortable. After the change of seat we couldn't finish the dish and left. The place has only 2 four seating table but they should have waited for us to finish. Overall an average experience

Very nice ambience.. but but but... Food taste must be enhanced, I went there twice , everytime I felt, food are too much salty. The cuisine requires subtlety. Mocktails were good but a bit more sweet. When this small small things will be taken care of, the place will be one of it's kind.
