Had a satisfying Bengali lunch at a place that truly keeps traditional flavours alive 🍛✨ Tried their Basanti Pulao with Colonial Mutton Dak Bungalow, and it was a combination worth going back for. The pulao was mildly sweet, aromatic, and perfectly cooked — each grain separate with that classic festive Bengali touch. The star, however, was the mutton Dak Bungalow. Rich, rustic, and full of depth — the gravy had that old-school colonial influence with bold spices and a comforting warmth. The mutton pieces were tender and well-marinated, pairing beautifully with the sweetness of the pulao. The addition of boiled eggs made the meal even more wholesome and satisfying. Portion size was generous, and the overall experience felt like a proper, indulgent Bengali lunch. The ambience is simple and no-nonsense, but the food speaks for itself. 📍Overall: A must-visit if you’re craving authentic Bengali flavours with a hint of heritage.

It was definitely a crowded place because of Nababorsho.positive side: The ambience is good. But the food was not upto the mark.we had luchi which was not well prepared and puffy.chhola dal was very liquid like ..usually chhola daal gravy happens to be thicker when you are serving with luchi.ilish quality was good and prawn prafulla fry was good.but cheese chicken kebab was not good.coming to the desert,we ordered for nolen gurer icecream.tastewise it was more similar to coffee flavor than nolen gur.and I found hair in the ice cream.in all experience was depressing.having too many guests should not be an excuse for a good delicious food.hope restaurant will take care into account of my observations in future

The fish was stale and gave out a bad smell. Some of the mutton pieces were not well cooked. Rice and Pulao were cold, at least warming it up before serving would be good. The staff is also non-cooperative in nature and didn't know how to accept payment through Zomato. The restaurant was totally empty when we reached during the peak lunch hours (2:15 pm), proving their customer base is getting thin.

I went with a lot of expectation. We ordered Thali which costs 1000 Rs . It was the most pathetic Thali I have ever had. Please change your cook or shut down the restaurant . Never going back again

This place is extremely over hyped and over priced! The bengali dishes were absolutely bland and sweet! Went for my mummy’s birthday and had an awful dining experience!
