Had a sumptuous lunch at Ilish Truly Bong on Christmas day. Started with Gondhoraj Lebur sorbot and Fish Fry. Then had Pulao, Bhetki Paturi, Pomfret Jhaal & Daab Chingri. Ended with Nolengurer payesh and Nolengurer Icecream sprinked with sondesh (one of the best desserts i have had in Kolkata) All in all it was excellent dining experience.

the food was exemplary. we tried one ilish thali. And few items from the a la carte. Ilish dishes were amazing. Aloo Dom was one of the best I've had. Some dishes were unavailable from both the thali options and Alacarte. They can work upon that.

This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. The warm lighting, rustic decor, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for a relaxed meal.enjoy bengali food😊

Simply the best food I had in Kolkata and the service was heart warming. We had our dishes suggested and had the most tasty cholar dal, jackfruit vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised that the veg food too was superlative

The ilish preparations here are quite good, but do be prepared to wait as the food takes time to arrive. We had chosen this place for a friend’s aiburobhai, so expectations were fairly high. Unfortunately, the service was a bit off, the waiters seemed indifferent and disengaged, which felt strange given the occasion. That said, the quality of the food does make up for the service lapses to an extent.

The waiting time for the food was 45mins and the food was not even hot. The mutton was tasteless, chicken was smelly and chewy. Not worth it … will not recommend anyone. Only the iliah fish finger and gondhoraj ghol was good

We went for an Aiburobhaat special occasion. The food was horrible..basanti polao was spicy full of black pepper and no salt. We ordered 3 plate pf kansha mangsho mutton out of which 1 plate is rotten and served with a hair and the others 2 plates are uncooked. The mughlai ilish biriyani costing me 580 was a fraud the fish is not hilsa or ilish it is basically maina( a fish usually taste like ilish but has thin bones which cost half a cost of ilish). I know this is not the season then you could have informed us about this that we don’t have hilsa. Also, the cost us 30/40 rupees for Aiburobhaat garland and handed us yellow Merrygold flower garland just imagine 🤬. The taste of chicken jompes was so so nothing out of the world. It cost us 7000 in the end but the food was so bad rather worst.

Don’t get fooled by the decor. The food is stale. They have mixed stale food with the current preparation. The basanti polau we ordered was way to spicy. Who makes basanti polao spicy. The mutton gravy that we ordered was stale, completely sour in taste. Every other dish that we ordered didn't had any taste. The food made in home taste way better than this. All the other positive reviews are paid. Don't get fooled by it. The price are similar to other Bengali cuisine restaurants. Please do save you money, stomach and taste buds and visit other places.

Food was below average when compared to other Bengali restaurants. not worth the price staff behaviour was absolutely carefree, rude and passing other colleagues their responsibility. Sorry but the owner needs to modulate her tone and hire a professional around her to manage the show not to mention, the waiting time is amazingly high
