A really nice 'sushi'-tastic experience at this small/ cosy, offbeat sushi joint on Bondel Road. Went there for lunch with a friend last Sunday. For starters, we took 2 sushi dishes - the ebi/ prawn tempura roll with tanuki flakes and the samurai roll, which had squid and prawns/ shrimps. The samurai roll was a chew-ilicious revelation, thanks to the squid. It was an amazing medley of colours and flavour/ taste (see the attached pictures). While the ebi tempura roll was its usual crunchy delicious self. For the main course, we took the Japanese sticky rice (chicken) and the prawns with water chestnut and brocolli. Both were nice - especially the chicken sticky rice since it had actually had the sticky rice (typically used in sushi) and also had a shredded fried egg along with chicken pieces. Ironically the only dish that wasn't fantastic enough was the dessert - the (seasonal) mango praline tart. It was nice enough - but had a hard time living up to the sheer delicious-ness of its predecessors. In all, it was a really nice and peaceful sushi/ Japanese food experience at a small (it has only 5-6 tables), cosy and offbeat place (which was relatively empty even on a Sunday afternoon). It was pocket-friendly as well - since my friend had taken a brownie for dessert - and the total bill (for 2 sushi roll starters + 2 main course dishes + 2 desserts) came to approx. INR 2300 for the both of us. Am I going back for seconds? Ab-sushi-lutely.

We were there for lunch. The service was awesome, but that may be due to less crowd. But the food items were very tasty and the quantity was also appropriate. We opted for Crab, Chicken Tempura and Prawn sushi along with spicy Ramen. All the food items taste awesome. I would definitely recommend sushi lover to try it once.

Best Sushi place in Kolkata tbh. At first order Cheese Tempura roll and Miduri Negi Asparagus roll which were really mouth watering and delicious. Then tried the Spicy Salmon roll because can't stop from having salmon XD and ened the feast with Sizzling Brownie with ice-cream.

A Cozy little place, the food is great, and the atmosphere is lovely.. This is the most budget friendly sushi place in kolkata, and on top of that the food is really good. There is room for improvement.. We ordered The sushi boat which i loved, Seafood Ramen & Shiyo aromatic ramen which was also really good.. Recommended. Will visit again.

Visited Snack on Sushi after seeing it trending online and tried the Nigiri Flight. Unfortunately, it was disappointing — the fish lacked texture and felt mushy, with no real bite, making the overall experience quite underwhelming for the price (₹1200+). The truffle mushroom roll was a highlight — well-balanced and flavourful. The chicken ramen had well-cooked toppings but the broth was bland and missing elements mentioned in the description. The coconut ice cream was good value for money. Service was quick despite limited staff, and the space was clean. Bonus points for the friendly cat at the entrance. Overall, not a memorable experience for ~₹2000. Some dishes were decent, but nothing compelling enough to return.

The place was completely empty, so the service was quick. However, there was only one staff member attending to us, and he kept repeatedly asking if we wanted the bill or if he should clear our plates, which made it feel like we were being rushed. The restaurant is also located in a very dingy lane, which didn’t add to the overall experience.

The food was very mediocre and not worth the price compared to other restaurants in nice environments. tempura prawn rolls came without tempura, salmon nilgiri was dry and didnt seem fresh, the chicken yakitori was so small pieces and seemed that they were cost cutting and trying to improve margins. overall very dissatisfied & will surely not come back. Finally Zomato discount of 15% was also not offered even though they charged RS. 50 per two to avail the discount. It was a total scam.

the food here is absolutely basic and not worth the hype in the social.media by some paid reviews. i don't know who are those people who find Rs 2500 plus for 2 people pocket friendly that too for 2 a platter of sushi and a dessert. also unless you have an appetite of a bird Rs 2500 would be less for two people. lastly very slow service.
