We ordered Choc goyee pastry. It sound something new. It was packed nicely. I loved the pastry very much. It was fresh, soft, tasty and very creamy. Enjoyed a lot.

I had ordered Brazilian Surprise Cake via Uber Eats. I must say that the cake's taste was awesome. Though it was eggless, the taste was still worth it.

This outlet of The Cake Xpress is a pretty new one – opened at Sector 3, Saltlake. Ordered a Chocolate Gooey pastry during a casual walk into this outlet – which was very very tasty and great on presentation. Hygiene of the place is excellent, service is exceptional – noteworthy that they bake live pound cakes also on demand. Prices are a little high but justified! Cheers and best of luck to the management of this place for their new venture!

Located near GD block CCD outlet. The outlet serves customized cakes. Has live counter. Cakes were fresh & good. Service is good too.

I ordered 1kg Cake and only 800-850gm cake was delivered. However delivery was very quick. The cake (bread portion) was not fresh however, the icing/topping/frosting (cream portion) was OK.

I went to this shop almost after 2 years. The only usp they have is the variety in eggless cakes. However today's experience was not at all satisfying. Firstly there were 3 staff members in the store, 2 were preparing cakes while the other was attending to customers, who unfortunately was not wearing a mask. I had to ask him to wear then only did he put it on. The items I ordered had a value of Rs 400. When I offered the swipe my card, the staff gave way to another staff to help him. He swiped and declared that their machine is not working. This happened last time as well. It seems that they have got a POS machine but do not want to use it. I handed him cash of Rs 500, to which he returned Rs 50 back instead of Rs 100. On asking he said that the other staff member had forgotten to add an item of Rs 50. Since the rates were displayed, I calculated in front of him and he said that ok. He returned me Rs 100. I asked for the bill. He told me that the bill would go to my mobile no. When I asked him that you have not asked my mobile no, he replied that he was about to take. I am surprised to see that after the payment transactions are made, he says that he would then make the bill. Seemed that he did not want to make a bill. Last time round as well they told that the bill would come to my mobile, which did not come. I demanded a hard copy bill. He wrote it on an order form and gave me a receipt. I have attached it. I am asking the owners whether this is the normal practice of tax evasion or are the staff members robbing you. If you guys want to do business, pls do so ethically. I do not intend to return to any of your outlets any more and would Mattingly recommend my friends also not to buy from you.

A surprise to remember : --------------------------------------------- Ordered an Anniversary Cake for one of my friend. They made it ready on time, so I went to their shop to pick it up. The cake was ordered to surprise the guests, but the shopkeeper surprised me so much that I ended up giving this place a solid 1 star. The cake looked as expected, although there was nothing very special in design. Just a simple Chocolate cake with few red hearts for decoration. They charged me freaking Rs.3500 for this simple 2 layered chocolate cake. It was simply insane and I was obviously expecting the whole package to be great. A service that I don't want in my lifetime : ---------------------------------------------------------------------- But the shopkeeper was ready to disappoint me and started packaging the cake by merging two very cheap quality paper box, because they didn't had proper box for 2 floor cake. Even worse they started wrapping the gaps with napkins (The picture of the box is attached). It couldn't get any worse. I asked the shopkeeper why the packaging is so cheap when you people are charging premium. I also asked to put a sparkling candle to complete it. He replied, "Yaha Yahi Jata Hai", "Candle keliye Paise lagenge". To my utter surprise a candle costs only Rs.15 that they couldn't include and it wasn't a Rs.300 cake either. Also how people are accepting this kind of napkin packaging by paying thousands of rupees? Attitude is the way of success ----------------------------------------------------- I argued with the shopkeeper quite long for the packaging and candle but I couldn't stay longer in front of his attitude and illogical, meaningless, unprofessional behavior. He simply didn't care about what a customer thinks, he was busy showing how experienced and successful he is in this business. When I told that person any other competitive brands like Mio Amore or Bisk Farm would've charged half the price for similar cake and they provide way better packaging and also behaves better. He replied, "Those are local brands, we use imported staffs." Taste that doesn't justify the price : ----------------------------------------------------------- I totally felt the taste of imported staffs after the celebration. The cake tasted just like his behavior, below average and way below than any other popular Cake brands present in Kolkata. The cream used simply didn't justify a Rs.3500 tag. I even asked for feedback from some of the guests and they all agreed the cake wasn't special. Success is success, doesn't matter how you got it : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When I was leaving the store I told that person this is my last time here. He instantaneously replied, "Doesn't matter I've lots of other customers." This was one of my life lesson. I really got inspired by this shopkeeper. Now I'm thinking about to invest in such place and start making people fool. If you can make profit so easily then why choose the hard way? How to make money in easy way : ------------------------------------------------------------ Increasing Restaurants, Cake Shops and Delivery Outlets in the City, thanks to social media marketing for making these businesses very easy to grow. Anyone is getting into these businesses, because Money! Money! Money! Money! This place is only 3 years old and seems like they're already succeeding with below local quality food with Flurys like pricing. Now a days many people like to spend extraordinary prices for below ordinary product, this place is ideal for them.

The cakes seemed to be eggless since they were so very sweet. If you are a big fan of very sweet cakes!!! Go for it... Overall after trying the bakery here I feel it to be ordinary... It is simply cream on a baked stuff. Also the scent from the flavoured cakes are too strong... Last but not the least😔😔😔the portion size is really small... Like if you are opting for a pastry... One pastry is only half of what you get in other shops😣😣😣
