Today #thehoichoigroup was at Zam Zam - A Moghlai Delight in the Heart of Kolkata. Zam Zam, a Moghlai restaurant in Kolkata that has been serving up delectable Mughlai cuisine since 2002. It started it's small restaurant in a narrow lane near Frank Anthony, and Zam Zam has become a beloved institution among locals and visitors alike. The restaurant’s rich history and authentic flavors were evident in every bite we savored.. Mr Shadman, The owner's son, who took the time to chat with us, shared some fascinating stories about the restaurant’s journey. He proudly recounted how his father, with a passion for cooking and a dream of sharing his culinary creations, established Zam Zam over two decades ago. From its humble beginnings, Zam Zam has grown into a culinary gem, attracting food enthusiasts from far and wide. Recently, the restaurant had the honor of serving biryani to the Pakistani cricket team, a testament to its widespread recognition. The menu at Zam Zam is a treasure trove of Mughlai delights, featuring an array of biryanis, curries, kebabs, and desserts. Our members indulged in their signature beef biryani, which was tender and flavorful, infused with a symphony of spices. The beef bhuna, mutton burra kebabs, and mutton rezala were equally impressive, each dish showcasing the restaurant’s mastery of Mughlai cuisine. Vegetarians are not forgotten at Zam Zam. The restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian options, including delectable vegetable pulaos, curries, and paneer dishes. We were particularly impressed with the shahi tukra, a rich and creamy bread pudding soaked in sweetened Kheer, and the phirni, a traditional Indian rice pudding. Go early for lunch or you will be in Queue.

Had a great experience at Zam Zam! The kebabs are a must-try — Chicken Malai Kebab melts in the mouth, Chatpatta Kebab is full of flavour, and Chicken Seekh Kebab is perfectly cooked. Their biryanis are the highlight. Both Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani are aromatic, not overly oily, and packed with taste. The main course dishes like Methi Malai Chicken, Mutton Rogan Josh, and Paneer Butter Masala are delicious and pair really well with Butter Naan and Garlic Naan. Ended the meal with Shahi Tukda and Phirni both amazing! Overall, tasty food, good quantity, and worth the price. Will definitely order again!

This is located at Syed Amir Ali Avenue, opposite to Quest Mall, around 250 metres walking distance from Park Circus 7 point crossing(they have other branches as well, but I only visited this one). Fantastic food quality. Went this place many times and experiences were truly great all the times. All the biryanis come in sufficient portion and very tasty! Try out their Chicken Achari Kebab.

This place is a gem in Mughlai cuisine. We tried chicken tikka and reshmi kebab and both were amazing with tikka kebab taking the top spot and the chicken lababdar with butter garlic naan was just top notch and the prices were also quite affordable.

Visited Zam Zam in Park Circus after hearing a lot of hype, and it lived up to most of the expectations. The place has a simple and straightforward setup, but the food is the real hero here. We started with the combo kebab platter with Tikka and Reshmi kebabs, which were absolutely excellent—soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The Tikka kebabs were also a highlight—spiced just right, super tender, and grilled perfectly. These two alone are worth visiting the place. However, the biryani was a bit of a letdown. While the rice was aromatic and well-cooked, the meat pieces were a little dry and not as juicy as we expected. It wasn’t bad, but compared to the kebabs and bhuna, it didn’t stand out. We also ordered Bhurani and masala coke. At last in desert we ordered Sahi Tukda which was excellent. The service was decent, and prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes and taste. It’s a busy spot, so expect a short wait during peak hours. Overall, Zam Zam is a must-visit for kebab and curry lovers. Just wish the biryani meat was a bit more tender. Still, I’d definitely go back for the kebabs and Sahi Tukda any day!

Went for lunch during Ramzaan. Ordered Mutton Haleem and Mutton Biriyani. Both tastes very good. Quantity is sufficient for 2 person. There was huge rush due to Eid. Staffs are polite. Ambience is nice. Price is on cheaper side. It's definitely recommended for all.

Visited this outlet around 4pm. The waiting time period was minimal. We had order special mutton biriyani, hariyali kebab, chicken chap and onion salad. Had mentioned the onion salad to be served without any seasoning but got served with seasoning. We asked the staff to change it but they simply washed the already chopped onions and served the same thing. Staff kept hurrying us to finish off fast with our meals saying there was a waiting when there was none. Biriyani was much scented that required the rest were alright. Leftovers were hastily packed all in one container. Could definitely use some polite and respectful staff.
