Ideal cafe This place is not just a cafe for ice creams But an emotion Nostalgia And loads of memories to many friends n mangalore and ardent foodies Been to this place which has history dates back to 1992 This place is QSR Great staff They are super quick Coordinate well Service is brilliant-5/5 Food -5/5 Tried the iconic gudbud here and trust me This place serves the best gudbud icecream Try their special gudbud it’s loaded with nuts fruits Fell in love and went back second day So choose to try the mangalore buns Ghee roast Paratha Coffee In a word I’m pleasantly surprised the food is brilliant Taste great and pocket friendly too Vfm -5/5 The food here is topnotch tasty Gudbud is a must try Other smacks n local delicacies like buns are fantastic Do visit A must visit place for every foodie in mangalore

Ideals Café is a place that I have been visiting since my childhood times. Even after moving to Bangalore, my visits to Mangalore are incomplete without a visit to Ideals Café. Their cutlet and tiramisu are my favorite. This is something that I miss a lot in Bangalore. They also serve other items like snacks, sandwiches, rolls, South and North Indian dishes, dosas, hot beverages like coffee and tea, in addition to ice cream. They have a very good breakfast combo, which I have ordered for my parents several times. Takeaway and dine-inn sections are separate. As usual, it is always crowded, making us wait to catch a table. Once you get a table, you can place an order using a token and pay at the counter. Once food is served, it is served to your table.

This place obviously needs no introduction. What we had: Ipizza Slice: It is one of the best desserts/ ice cream I’ve ever had. This will be my go to order from next time. Absolutely loved it. Dilkush: Combination of three ice-creams with sev falooda ,rose syrup and some nuts. Would always love to end my meal with an ideal ice-cream.

With Ideal or Pabbas, one has his own set of expectations. Likewise came to this place with ample lot of expectations, but ended up being disappointed. The signature item ' The Gudbad' was no where close to what we expected. It lacked the magic which other Ideal/ Pabbas outlets offer. There are plenty of tables installed inside, and there is a separate takeaway counter outside near the entrance. One needs to pay in advance and then your order will be delivered to the table. Service is pretty ok. Apart from icecreams other snacks are also available in the menu. This is located in a prime location right opposite to Sharavu temple, hence the place is normally crowded. They accept cash, card or NFC payment methods. Parking is an issue here.

Ideal meal combo is not recommended food was pathetic no taste in soya ghee roast and paneer gravy and found a piece of hair in rice pulav.

On March 12 I ordered 1 upama,2 vadas,1 set dossa and 1 idlivada sambar. 1 vada was not there.kindly rectify. This is 2nd time this has happened. Will this continue?

sir in ur restorent when asking jeera rice they r giving ghee rice ghee rice is different from geera rice it is small rice and we will see geera in the rice today i asked geera rice they given me ghee rice I know the difference because we r ordering geera rice from other restorent and I think it is not mentioned in the menu also the girls who r sitting on the counter may not know what is geera rice and ghee rice when asked they will say yes last time also same thing happened in the dish in menu baby corn masala but it is full of mashrooms mashroom is elergetic for so many people I didn't get single piece of baby corn in the dish then i asked the girl to inform manager to correct the menu that dish photo also I sent it is still with me we r the customer of ideal cafe from day 1 so pl correct the menu sheet and give proper guidence to ur counter staffs

Just big name… their brand’s legacy has gone into each and every staffs in the Ideal Cafe branch near Sharavu … to serve a Tea they take 20 minutes even after reminding 5 times… and on top of it they blame the customer saying you asked to deliver late… upon questioning they don’t even have little curtsy or manners of how to talk to the customer… I had a high value towards Ideals… but the inefficiency of staffs to manage and treat their customers had changed my view now… If allowed I would love to give zero rating… More than disappointment, it’s that feeling of how can the staff do this to such a good brand… hope the management takes care of this before it is too late

Worst packing made for ice cream ordered to be taken on flight..however ideal charged for packing materials but cudnt take proper care while packing it..the ice cream was supposed to be packed in foam cups but it wasn't packed in right way. This is sign of sheer irresponsibility..we literally had to throw away the ice creams as everything was mixed up and fallen out of cups.

"Visited Ideal Cafe on January 5th, 2025. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well and couldn't finish my meal. I requested the staff to parcel the remaining food, but they didn't seem to understand. After reiterating my request, they provided a cover for me to pack the food myself. Felt a bit disappointed with the service. Room for improvement!"
