The menu offers a delightful blend of Parsi and Irani cuisine. The Jam Bun Maska and Irani Chai are must-haves—simple yet irresistibly flavorful. Don’t miss the Mutton Keema Pav and Egg Bhurji, which are as comforting as they are delicious. Every dish reflects authenticity and leaves you craving more. Dining here is a slow, warm experience, with the owner personally attending to guests and ensuring they feel at home. The relaxed vibe, golden-hued walls, vintage décor, and heartfelt hospitality make time seem to pause. Prices are ok-ish as compared to other food jounts, but then overall dining experience is worth the price. Do visit this place and experience that nostalgic feeling for yourself.

This place has a complete old world charm. I had been here before to have some tea but didn't review it then though the tea was nice. Recently I dropped by to have a anda bhurji and tea. The owner, a very polite and hospitable gentleman made the bhurji and tea himself. It was awesome. When enquired, he mentioned that he has no kitchen staff. He cooks himself. Definitely worth a visit if you arr looking for some nice Parsi/Irani food and some nostalgia of old Bombay

Old school, intimate at its best. Gustad does the best Keema Pao I have ever had. Was lucky to get in a heartwarming conversation with him too. Highly recommend.

Stepping into Cafe De La Paix feels less like entering a restaurant and more like walking into a living piece of Mumbai’s history. In a city that is constantly reinventing itself, this beautiful 90+ year-old Irani café stands as a reminder of a slower, more charming era. The menu is delightfully simple yet comforting. We started with the classic Irani chai and brun maska—a combination that never goes out of style. The chai was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, while the brun maska was crisp on the outside, soft within, and generously buttered. The breakfast offerings are equally satisfying. Whether you prefer a full fry, half fry, plain omelette, masala omelette, or cheese omelette, there’s something deeply nostalgic about watching these timeless dishes being prepared and served without any unnecessary frills. The Akuri was beautifully spiced and creamy, while the Sali Par Eedu showcased the comforting simplicity that Parsi cuisine does so well. The Special Maggi was surprisingly delicious and a must-try, and the kheema preparations remain a favourite among regulars for good reason. What truly elevates the experience, however, is not just the food but the atmosphere. The vintage interiors, old-world furniture, framed memories on the walls, and the unmistakable charm of a classic Irani café create an ambience that is impossible to replicate. Every corner tells a story. A special mention for Gustad Irani, whose warmth and hospitality make the experience even more memorable. He was incredibly welcoming, happy to chat, and added a personal touch that made us feel less like customers and more like guests. Conversations with him are as much a part of the Cafe De La Paix experience as the chai itself. The food is good, but the real attraction is the heritage, the history, and the soul of the place. One of the few surviving Irani cafés in South Mumbai, Cafe De La Paix is not merely somewhere to eat it’s somewhere to pause, soak in the nostalgia, and appreciate a treasured piece of the city’s cultural fabric. A timeless Mumbai gem that deserves to be cherished and visited again and again.

OVER PRIDED, The vibe is amazing and old school no doubt about that but it literally costed more than 200rs for 1 tea and bun maska, And They conveniently do not have a menu as the pricing is high.
