The taste and ingredients are maintained as they were years ago ! Been visiting this place since I was 19 in 1996 and the menu has been beefed up recently for better with additions such as cocktail kebabs, smoked potatoes and chicken to name a few. While they used to serve only London Pilsner, Kingfisher & Kangaro beer.. Budweiser and Miller are some additions now keeping in mind new tastes and times ! I travel most Saturdays from Andheri to Fort just for a lovely laid back lunch and it just feels nothing has changed last 26 years from my 1st time.. the authentic Irani/Parsi ambience.. the lip smacking immemorial Kheema, Masoor Gosht, Mutton Cutlet with Gravy or be it the Dhansak to be washed down with Parsi cold drinks .. Raspberry, Ice Cream Soda.. and ended with Caramel Custard and Firni. Bliss, Nostalgia and A Happy “ME” always after Cafe Military !

"Cafe Military is a charming spot with delicious offerings! We had the bun muska and chocolate mousse, and everything was fantastic. A perfect place for a hearty and satisfying meal. Highly recommended!"

Heritage cafe. Above Average food. Amazing desserts🤩 Value for money 😎 Pro's: Well spoken waiters, Less kitchen to table time, Sorted menu, Fairly fresh meat. Affordable prices for the quantity. Con's: The area is a bit shady. Not very family friendly. Teetotalers and vegeterians best skip it. For Parsi food, the taste is above average, thr kebabs and cutlets have less meat but you get what you pay for. Hygiene is alright. What we had for two: Kheema Pav: 4/5 For Rs. 150 a mid sized portion enough for one. Buttery kheema with fresh pav.👍👍 Prawns Kebab : 3/5 6 huge pieces for Rs. 130 enough for two, though it tasted of prawns , more filling of potato and flour. Can try once for the sake of it 👍 Berry pilaf: 4.5/5 Good quantity for Rs. 320. Enough for 2-3 people. Hoping that they were Zereshk berries. Authentic taste. Chocolate Mousse: 5/5 Best piece of heavenly mouth melting goodness for Rs.100. Highly recommended Mumbaikars do visit here once. We need to preserve our Heritage!!

One of old restaurants in fort area with classic old Bombay feels ambience preserved till day. This cafe is your go to when u want to just chill by in lunch hour and relax unwind with one or two beer. Been here many times and would go again. The service here is quick however stewards would want you to vacate as early always. I had mutton rice and dAl It was lovely sweet flavour coming from caramelised onion and sugar with mild spices a perfect old Mumbai Parsi feels However prices they have increased as compared to their competitors around which are proper Parsi restaurants. Items in menu can be kept regular instead of daily changes. But that’s what is good for regular local people too... To come and experience everyday different food. We should go and appreciate beauty of old Bombay.

We happened to visit this iconic , historical landmark on Saturday evening around 730 pm . To my surprise ,the tables were full. We managed to get a couple table . goin through the menu ,we decided to skip beer and start with mutton onion fry. the pieces of mutton were soft and the masala was yummy. I had a raspberry drink along . we called for mutton masala boneless with 2 chapatis. the gravy was as per my taste buds. excellent semi gravy . we ended our meal with kheema pav and bun maska. kheema pav though it tasted good but didn't match my expectations. but left the restaurant with good memories and VFM experience. I am sure, I will revisit with my friends for a glass of beer with some awesome mutton dishes 4 stars to this icon !!! keep it up !!!

Iconic Parsi cafe with good food and a reasonably priced menu. Service is fast, polite and courteous. Interior has an old world charm that adds to the experience. Can surely upgrade on cleanliness.

Visited after a long time. It was my favourite cafe. I found a vast change in taste. Mutton kheema/cutlet gravy was not so tasty as was before. Present cook should be trained by a Parsi cook with appreciate ingredients.

It is not for beginners. 1. Food quality has degraded since I last visited in pre-covid era. 2. The staff does not help you out with the dishes, you have order to understand what the dish is. The staff can only show where the dishes are written. 3. The quantity of a dish is for an individual. if 2 people are visiting each would have to order their own dish in order to be sufficed. 4. The dishes come out at room temperature or cold from the kitchen instead of being piping hot. 5. Tables and plates (only plastic) are so small that even a normal person would feel claustrophobic. Not recommended. Don't waste your time and energy to be at a place where the tables, plates and dishes are of small quantity and average quality.
