Its one of the best places for shwarma. I had their chicken shwarma and mutton roll which were both really delicious. They have variety of other food items too. I also had their chicken tangdi kebab.Chicken tasted fresh and good quality. Their mocktails were really good too

Carters Blue Malad has long been one of those dependable, multi-cuisine spots that quietly cater to a wide spectrum of cravings, and after visiting over the years across their outlets, the consistency in taste, portioning, and pricing is something that stands out more than anything else. The menu is exceptionally vast — spanning shawarmas, Lebanese, Mughlai, Chinese, biryani, kebabs, and even desserts — making it a convenient choice for groups where everyone has different preferences. Naturally, the shawarma section remains the highlight and the most frequently revisited part of their menu. The chicken shawarma, in particular, is comforting and familiar in flavour — mildly spiced, well-filled, and balanced with garlic sauce and pickles without being overly heavy. The chicken paratha shawarma leans more towards the indulgent side with its slightly richer wrap, making it a filling option, though it does feel more desi-fusion than authentically Middle Eastern. Variants like the chicken tikka shawarma and Mexican shawarma offer a flavourful twist, while the open dajjaj shawarma and rumali versions are generous in portion and suitable for a proper meal rather than a quick bite. Their veg shawarmas such as paneer and mushroom are also reliable for those looking for non-meat options. Moving into the starters and kebabs, dishes like the chicken seekh kebab, murg kalimiri tikka, and chicken banjara kebab come across as well-marinated and consistently prepared, making them safe choices. The mutton boti kebab and tandoori platter are good for sharing, while falafel with hummus serves as a decent vegetarian counterpart. Butter fried prawns and paneer chilli also fit well within their crowd-pleasing starter lineup without being overly experimental. The main course reflects a more Mughlai-leaning comfort style. Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and their special chicken gravies are rich, mildly spiced, and pair well with butter naan or roomali roti. Mutton kadai and matka-style gravies feel hearty and satisfying, while dal makhani and paneer tikka masala offer dependable vegetarian alternatives. Nothing feels overly gourmet, but the flavours remain approachable and consistent — which, in many ways, aligns with the restaurant’s identity. Their biryani and rice section is somewhat underrated, with chicken tikka biryani and mutton dum biryani being flavourful enough for regular orders. Indo-Chinese options like triple schezwan rice, American chop suey, and chicken manchurian cater well to those who enjoy familiar Indo-Chinese profiles rather than authentic Asian flavours. Thai curry options and fried rice varieties add further variety to an already extensive selection. The Lebanese and Arabic offerings — including hummus with pita, falafel platters, and grilled chicken with hummus — complement the shawarma-centric menu nicely, even if they lean slightly towards an Indianised palate. Breads such as butter naan, cheese naan, and roomali roti are fresh and serve as reliable accompaniments to their gravies. On the beverages and dessert side, chocolate milkshake, fruit punch, falooda, phirni, and kunafa provide a pleasant finish, especially for those who prefer a complete dine-in experience rather than just quick bites. Overall, Carters Blue remains a decent and reasonably priced option that has maintained a fairly consistent standard across its outlets over the years. While it may not position itself as a specialised or premium dining destination, its strength lies in offering a broad menu that caters to different tastes, moods, and group preferences without straining the pocket. After multiple visits over time, it continues to feel like a reliable, no-frills place for varied comfort food, where the shawarmas, kebabs, Mughlai gravies, and rice dishes form the core of a satisfying, if not exceptional, experience. A solid 3-star spot for variety, consistency, and value.

To start with, I can't imagine a restaurant buzzing with mosquitoes more than people. I have been a regular Shawarama fan here, I prefer to order online as most of the staff here are very rude. I am talking about multiple visits and not one good experience with the staff. coming to the food, I still enjoy the original Chicken Shawarama from Carter road....The prawns chilly was average again, felt like the prawns were not cleaned or undeviened, it had that typical taste which put me off. I only look forward to the paya soup, which I hope they don't screw up.

recently visited this outlet, but was shocked at the quality of food. had ordered a soup and a shawarma. they charged me extra rs.50 only for fried noodles without informing. soup was standard nothing great. but what was shocking was the quality of shawarma and the accompaniments. the garlic sauce was bland. no taste of garlic. it was like plain mayonnaise and the pickled veggies weren't pickled. they were like plain boiled. no pickled chillies also were provided. hadn't expected this let down of food from carters. need to search a different place for good shawarma going forward you will be losing customers jlt.
