I recently visited Makan Lah – Singapore Street Food in Bandra, and as a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience. From friendly service to thoughtfully crafted vegan options, this place really hits all the right notes! Ambience is casual and relaxed — ideal for a calm meal. The staff were attentive All in all, Makan Lah is a great spot for vegans who want Singaporean street-food flavours done right. I’ll definitely be returning!

if you are craving for Singapore Street Food then this is the place to be. it's a small cozy joint with very neatly done decor. The dimsums were perfectly done. loved the spring rolls.. one of the best. the bonus was the chicken and rice bowl.. so comforting and filling. really happy to have visited this place.

The food was extremely good. if you are looking for simple comfort food with flavors on the side, Hainanese chicken rice. Hainanese sauce is amazing. The staff were helpful in recommending according to our preference.

Wonderful food full of flavour and variety. A must visit if you like asian food but are bored of the usual options!

The dinosaur milo was really good, I wish it was served chilled. The dry noodles were really good. Was a little disappointed with the Hiananese Rice, it was very dry. The Char Kway Teow was also really good. The seating isn’t very comfortable at all. It’s more of a - grab a quick bite and leave place.

The Hainanese Chicken Rice was too good. Chicken was flavourful and so tender.

Makan Lal is cozy little spot in Bandra (as are most places thanks to shortage of space and exorbitant rents). We walked past it and entered as Singapore street food caught our eye. The menu is extensive and has all the Singapore/Malay staples which for someone who has lived there, is pretty exciting. Unfortunately the dishes don't live up to the OG taste. We got the dumplings (avg) , Nasi Lemak (dry), Prawns char kway teow (the best of the lot), sambal chilli chicken (not sure what that was but completely avoidable) , veg dishes were average at best. Food lacks the wok hei and the depth of flavour that you see in these dishes usually. The owner is lovely but since she is the one doing all the running around, dishes do take some time to come to the table. Disappointed but I hope they figure their flavours. Giving it 2.5/5

I ordered food at home. the food is nowhere close to Singaporean street food. the chicken stinks, undercooked, food tastes as if it was dish pot rice from Five spice. bad quality and no Singaporean taste. People who are complimenting the food have clearly never eaten food in Singapore .

The food was so bad and too pricey for the bad food they have to offer. Staff is not well trained. Bad experience over all.

Food doesn’t taste singaporean. Chicken was cold. Sauces were wrong. Staff were clueless but courteous.
