Small, hole in the wall place. LEGIT food. Very very authentic. Lovely broths. It’s a family run business so the service is not OMG awesome but they are nice polite ppl. I’m coming go back every couple of weeks. Also very well priced and the portions are great. Takes me back to the couple of years I spent in Nagaland. Please don’t change and good luck!!

Lovely decor, great food, and peaceful ambience. The chicken wings were wonderfully crunchy, and the perilla pork and black sesame pork were similarly fantastic. Do try it with the naga sticky rice which is quite different- i think its either a mix, or some sort of wild rice. Highly recommend.

Revisited the place after a 7 year gap (erstwhile based at Hauz khas). I am still amazed as much as i was 7 years ago. Tried two fish dishes and both were absolutely magical.

Dzoku Tribal Kitchen presents a heartfelt journey into the rich tapestry of Sema culinary traditions. The moment you step inside, the inviting ambience sets the stage for an authentic dining experience. The decor subtly echoes tribal aesthetics, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere that is both unique and welcoming. The menu is a celebration of authenticity. Each dish is meticulously prepared, capturing the essence of home-cooked Sema cuisine. The flavors are robust yet nuanced, evoking a sense of nostalgia for those familiar with the traditions, and offering an exciting discovery for newcomers. The use of indigenous ingredients and time-honored cooking techniques shines through, making each bite a testament to the culinary heritage of the Sema people. While the food and setting excel, the service falls slightly behind. During my visit, there were noticeable delays that impacted the flow of the meal. The staff, though courteous, could benefit from increased attentiveness to enhance the overall dining experience and ensure that guests’ needs are promptly met. A note of caution pertains to the billing process. It is advisable to review your bill thoroughly before settling. In my case, there was an inadvertent charge for four beers instead of the three I enjoyed. Upon bringing this to their attention, the staff responded graciously and promptly corrected the error. This attention to detail at the final stage of the dining experience is essential and would greatly contribute to guest satisfaction. In conclusion, Dzoku Tribal Kitchen stands out for its genuine portrayal of Sema cuisine and its pleasant ambience. With some refinements in service efficiency and meticulousness in billing, it has the potential to offer an impeccable dining experience. It is a commendable destination for those seeking to immerse themselves in authentic tribal flavors and culture.

So we specially went to this place seeing the good ratings online. The restaurant was earlier in Hauz khas and now has been shifted to Vasant Kunj. The restaurant pictures posted online looked like the place is quite big but when we went it was a normal sized restaurant with dim lights and tribal decor. We went to have some pork ribs and pork momos as these are the dishes. But when we asked the person attending us, he told us that none of those dishes were available. In fact none of the pork starter dishes were available. There was only chicken or veg. That disappointed us as the menu was elaborate and half the items were not available from the menu. Next we asked what all beers were available. And once again none of the domestic beers were available except Bira boom. Now, the waiter suggested us some starters in chicken. We decided to order for chicken momos and main course. We ordered smoked pork chilly with bamboo shoot and Naga chilly chicken with Naga sticky rice and also a dry fish chutney. The smoked pork chilly with bamboo shoot was delicious, it had this very mild smoked flavour, the meat was tender and chilly in the gravy was perfect. The pork momos had the a good amount of meat in it and very juicy. The chutney with the momos was also good. I would definitely recommend these two dishes to anyone visiting this place. It was yum! All in all, the ambience is decent. The pork dishes are really good but the service needs a little upgrade. They need to also make sure that the items mentioned on the menu should be available as it changes the experience of any customer who are visiting them the first time.

This was among my favourite restaurants. Some of the best authentic Naga food at one time. It has really deteriorated now. They’ve started using some awful red chilli powder. We ordered chicken with bamboo shoots, they were no bamboo shoots in it! They are now making some strange fusion of Naga and Punjabi food. They don’t use the Naga veggies they used to. So so sad to see a phenomenal restaurant deteriorate like this.

Ambience was good, and main course too. however the pork ribs we ordered was burnt and dry, and it was just 3 small pieces. The price should justify the portion and quality. if you have messed up the cooking and burnt it, atleast dont serve it.

The chicken stew was very bad in taste and salty. Nothing special but the cost was higher. We didn't like the food atall.

Worst meal I’ve ever eaten. The pork ribs were cut into small pieces and were just bones and fat - no meat at all. Not one piece in the entire dish had any meat just the fat. On telling the waiter this, he said their customers like fat not meat 😂 Most ridiculous response from a restaurant trying to save money by serving only the fatty parts of the pork. The smoked buff salad was dry and tasteless. The Anishi chicken was mostly bones floating in a watery gravy with some hard stringy bits of chicken. The restaurant itself had a grimy, dirty feel to it. Terrible experience overall.

Hi Dzuko, The worst thing that can happen to any customer is a breach of trust and we experienced that today at your restaurant, when you served us momos that YOU ordered from somewhere else. The staff confessed it when I showed them a silver wire inside my momos. They said that it was brought in from outside. I fail to understand why couldn't they just say that the momos are not available. Serving us food from outside and pricing them at 400rs is highly unethical. This is the last meal of mine at your restaurant. Hopefully you won't repeat this with other customers(my friends)
