If you are really non veg food lover, this is the must visit place in the town. Only problem is the waiting time is really long as they have limited seating area. But the food is amazing. We ordered mutton biryani, chicken sukkha , kamatchi special fish fry. Everything was just tasty . They serve food on banana leaf.

It all about the way they prepare and serve it. Must visit place at white town. All kamatchi is must try 😀. Tried chicken kamatchi, mutton veedu biryani and they gave me rasam tice as complimentary. Superb taste, perfect spices. Keeps you wanting for more.

I had chicken biryani and roasted prawns here. The biryani was very tasty and you should try it at least once if you love biryani. Roasted prawns were also good. Great service, good environment for family and friends to visit and clean place.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family on our weekend trip to puducherry, and our experience was a mixed bag. Day 1, getting a seat was a challenge at 2 PM, but we returned the next day at 12:30 PM and waited for about 20 minutes. Once seated, the service was prompt, and our food arrived within 10 minutes. We ordered a variety of dishes, including fish, chicken, and mutton meals, as well as prawn biryani and prawn kamatchi. While the food was delicious, it was extremely spicy 🥵 🔥- not suitable for those who prefer mild/mid spicy level food. The chicken and mutton curries were well-cooked, but we had to add curd to tone down the heat. Trust me I can still feel the heat with me sitting with a box of tissues. The prawn kamatchi was a standout dish that we all enjoyed. I guess a lot of items from the menu were unavailable on the day we went or maybe they removed it altogether. Not so sure For dessert, we tried the tender coconut payasam and falooda payasam, both of which were excellent, tasty and would recommend everyone to try. The people serving the dishes knew exactly what to suggest seeing our condition 🥵 Overall, our experience was good, but we hope the restaurant considers reducing the spice level to cater to a broader range of palates especially the tourists who come down from the nearby states.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this branch of Kamatchi hotel. The biriyani was delicious as were the other dishes such as Chicken Kamatchi, Prawn Roast, and Fish Kamatchi. Even the butter milk and Rasam were fantastic. In dessert, try their bottled Payasam. But what we loved most was the service. Shakti anna was our server and he is an enthusiastic fellow. He recommended us a few dishes since we were quite apparent tourists. Every single one of his recommendations was superb. He's a jovial fellow who made our time there very enjoyable. The only thing I would like to point out was the cleanliness of the washrooms. The seating area can become quite congested during weekends too. Parking is limited to the side of the road.

We had non veg thali, prawn kamatchi, mutton pepper fry, payasam and jigarthanda. The prawn was really good but the mutton could have been better

Mutton fry was not cooked properly which had raw uncooked flavour, Sura puttu had only eggs and grated coconuts. Here come the scam part. We ordered for plain rice and fish curry. And they charged 150 bucks for plain rice and fish curry seperately and the justification they gave was. They charged non veg meals for plain rice since they don't provide rice seperately itseems and they did not give other dishes as part of meals. As we ordered only plain rice. They really don't care about the customers and they way they feel. They are many nice places in Pondy. Don't waste your time and money in this scam place

Ordered veg parcel meal. Very worst. Sambar doesn't have dall. Doesn't have papadam. Poriyal wasn't very worst. Even an ordinary restaurant is giving quality food. It's not worth for rs.180. totally waste. Rice quantity is high. Only sambar and rasam. Don't place food order at this restaurant.
