The ambience is amazing. Had the perfect dinner experience. When we came here, they had a live music going. The white sauce spaghetti was the best I had till now.

We received our order after 40 minutes of ordering and two reminders. We placed the order for two cocktails. And we still hadn’t received one cocktail even after the bill arrived. The reason I am giving even two stars is because there was live music. The singer saved the day. One star is his. And we observed that it was the same situation with every table.

A pale shadow of the Rendezvous we knew. Waiters at the table were new with no training on serving. Food was just placed on the table and each of us had to reach out. Very poor menu for Vegetarians, no side dishes for the Veg fried rice. Malabar Parotta with Dal Makhni! Please. Sad to see a fine restaurant go to a mediocre cafe.

If you're a group of bachelor girls or boys, don't even think about stepping foot into Rendezvous Cafe in Puducherry. The treatment here is downright disrespectful. We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. The so-called bruschetta was a joke—just some uncooked shredded tomatoes dumped on a piece of toasted bread with a bit of cheese, completely missing the standard salsa sauce. And for this, they had the nerve to charge 300 bucks! The portion size was laughable too. But that's not all. The waiting experience was infuriating. Despite several empty tables by the window, we were shoved into the middle of the room. When we asked for a window seat, we were told those were reserved for the owner's friends, who didn't even show up until two hours after we arrived! And the service? Absolutely dreadful. It took them a full 60 minutes to bring out something as basic as bruschetta. This place is a total waste of time and money. Avoid at all costs.

If you're looking for the worst dining experience of your life, this is the place to be. Right from the start, they warn you it’ll take time to get your food—but what they don’t tell you is that 'time' means an eternity. We waited 25 minutes just for someone to take our order, and then endured a grueling 40 minuted again before we dared to complain. Their response? "So many other people are waiting for a table. You are lucky that you even got a table". I was stunned by the sheer audacity of this place. Waiter dont serve food. We ordered a sizzler and the waiters even refused to take out the skewer. We had to enquire 4-5 times about the status of our order. Their definition of bruschetta is raw tamotos on bread. Rice with sizzler was tasteless.

This place doesn’t deserve a single star. Its worthless. The manager is extremely rude. We are a group of 8 and people left coz it took an eternity for them to bring our food and then they got us rotis without the gravy and we had the rotis alone. Ordered chicken noodles which came after 5 people left. And we asked for the bill coz it was more than 45 mins since we ordered noodles. The bill came with the noodles after an hour. And they asked us to pay for the noodles. Apparently the noodles came on time. After an HOUR. This place sucks. So does the manager.

This place doesn't even deserve one star, the waiting time was 45 mins when we were the only ones dining. Also, the manager doesn't comply and is very rude. Please refrain from ordering pancakes ( size of cutlets) or even garden salad which was small cut pieces with no dressing or even greens. While we tried giving feedback - the answer was' thats how we make it, and no one had a problem with it'.. A huge waste of time & money. Absolutely not recommended to be visited!

1.5 hours of wait for food on a Friday for lunch. Poor service on that front. Beverage service is pretty quick.
