Calling Mumbai my most favourite city in India and not having dined in an Irani Cafe is a monstrous miss. Which is why on the recent visit to Pune the first meal was planned here. Being a vegetarian that day wasn’t very limiting as the vegetarian omelette was really delicious and so was the paneer bhurji, a perfect replacement for a Parsi Akuri. After sampling all this, along with a very sweet and strong Irani chai was a great breakfast experience, but what beat it was the Irani black chai with mint accompanied by some dates, truly remarkable combination, that I loved, and the best part was it was complimentary, at least I think it was. Having tried the bun maskas from the chai chains in Bengaluru, had not prepared me for the OG bun maska here, the super soft pillowy bread hiding creamy yellow butter was absolutely stunning, no wonder classics such as this stay relevant even today. The vegetable cutlets were superbly well made, the thin crispy layer with a beautiful filling that was masaledar and had a tinge of chaat masala high on amchur / dry mango powder. The chili cheese toasts were a different league altogether, red chilli flakes and cheese stuffed soft white bread is what very good mornings are made up of, salty cheese, spicy chili, balancing white bread, fantastic toast with chai. My first experience at an Irani cafe and I loved the whole experience of dining in a place of historical significance, from classics such as bun maska and Irani chai, can’t wait to head to Mumbai soon , for indulging in a full blown meal from Irani Cafes.

Check my pics which I uploaded and then order to this restaurant. U might think this is the old restaurant but don't forget that this restaurant owner is from New generation and don't bother to take care of his restaurant. Better don't risk ur health by ordering from this restaurant and plz let others also know this. I m uploading this images and videos on insta also and going to complain in food n helath safety dept and PCMC too.

Classic bun maska slathered in creamy butter and jam, a simple yet comforting treat. Rose Sharbat was worth trying.

I was taken here by family during a recent visit to India. The food wasn’t too bad but the prices were very high for simple items like cheese sandwiches and brun maska. For the three of us, we walked out paying an arm and a leg. Management needs to review prices and make them more affordable.

This place has just become a hype now. It’s overly priced with bad quality. The bun Maska always seems stale and hard . There are much better places for chai and bun Maska around which are much more reasonable and provide fresher stuff like Behesht for example

While paying the bill owner denied payment mode as Zomato as the total bill was less than 500. Ideally if the cafe is listed and payment mode is acceptable they should accept this with no exceptions. 1-star for Irani Cafe and Zomato Dining

They delivered stale chicken samosa. Such a huge brand and you can't afford to keep fresh food? You want costumers to pay you money for your left over are food? Do you feed the same food to your children? Disgusting.

we were sitting on a table of our choice and we had asked them to clean the table twice but they just asked us to sit at another table. highly unprofessional and disappointing…. had better experience earlier.
