The restaurant is must visit when in Kovalam for PAN Asian cuisine. Chef Pascal and team takes special care of every diner personally and makes it a memorable experience. Many options for vegetarians as well! We dined every single day of our stay in Kovalam.

We went to Tides for a St. Valentines Day dinner. The menu was 7000 rupees for 2 people. Firstly hostess told us that there are no available tables, later on manager came and said and he can give us one. Although throughout the dinner there were lots of empty tables. Secondly you cam clearly see that staff are not properly trained for such establishment. Service is very poor, it seemed like staff members were completely clueless. Three waiters came to us and tried to explain simlle menu. After we ordered the manager and the waiter came up again to ask whether we have ordered or not. Finally food arrived, the taste was just ok, nothing special neither in taste not in plating. It looked liked everything arrived from a buffet restaurant and was just thrown on a plate. Waiter mixed up our order and brought the wrong dish a couple of times. Female waiter just put a plate in front of us and didn’t even try to serve dishes that were actually supposed to be served. We are not picky, but for that amountof money you would expect a very high level of service and quality of food. Overall it was a 2 star experience. I just give 3 stars cause of nice ambience.
