‘Him & Her’ is a series of vignettes about the interesting times in a couple’s life at various stages – as strangers, after marriage, as old flames, as a courting couple or as parents. The light-hearted humour in the play gives us simultaneously a ringside as well as an immersive view of various couples as they interact and communicate. The situations in the play will resonate with most couples irrespective of their cultural backgrounds or age. Our thoughts, our forms of communication and our emotions are almost universal, and hence the situations the couples confront in the play are totally relatable. ‘Him & Her’, as the name aptly suggests, is simply a mirror to the ups and downs and the stasis in a couple’s relationship, dealt with with deadpan humour.
