‘ARTIFICIAL’ is a collective showcase that explores the philosophical and psychological dimensions of our increasingly digital existence. As technology becomes more sophisticated and intertwined with human consciousness, we find ourselves at a crucial junction where questions of being, intelligence, and purpose intersect with modern digital realities. The showcase will present a workshop, two interactive installations, and performances that complement and challenge each other. 'ARTIFICIAL' is Edition 03 of the ongoing Eyemyth Festival, presented in collaboration with G5A.

WORKSHOP | Interactive Art Unplugged - A Primer on Tools & Techniques

This seminar is a primer for curious minds, offering an introduction to the tools, technologies, and techniques behind developing interactive art installations. Designed for designers, artists, musicians, architects, and anyone looking to add an extra dimension to their creative work, the session requires no prior experience or technical skills. As a seminar-style workshop, it is purely explanatory—attendees do not need to bring laptops or any tools. The workshop will be led by Dennis Peter, the creative mind behind Non-linear—an art practice dedicated to crafting interactive and immersive installations that blend sound, lighting, visuals, and mechanics.

INSTALLATION | Charting Nostalgia - The Window by Alap Parikh

A portal into an alternate reality where a human entity yearns to return to an age long lost to them but not yet to us, The Window is an exploration of what it may feel like to be nostalgic about the present.

INSTALLATION | Drunk Poet by Akshat Nauriyal

What happens when a machine questions ideas of existence? When it interrogates the purpose and essence of life? ‘Drunk Poet’ examines this contemplation through a real-time generative system of haikus and poetry.

PERFORMANCE | HYPERREAL by Ayahi

Hyperreal depicts the birth of an abstract intelligence, tracing its evolution from material roots in silicon to full sentience in the digital realm. The performance is interested in these gradual layers of abstractions and delves into the philosophical implications of the digital, hyperreal realm – a world without origin and an intelligence without body that has been invited into our lives. Pointing towards the unbound power as well as the fragility inherent to this realm, the intelligence is personified and embodied through experimental electronic music and generative visuals.

PERFORMANCE | Digital Existentialism by YESNOMAYBE

Digital Existentialism turns the lens inward, exploring how human consciousness and identity are reshaped by our ever-evolving digital landscape. An audio-visual performance conceptualised by media artist Akshat Nauriyal, ‘Digital Existentialism’ interweaves an introspective music performance about the human condition with audio-visual pieces that delve into the philosophical and psychological implications of living in a techno-algorithmic world.
