MASSACRE (Death Metal / USA)

Florida-based death metal pioneers MASSACRE, renowned for their groundbreaking 1991 album "FROM BEYOND," persist in their old-school death metal onslaught into 2025, building upon their legacy. Established in 1984, Massacre emerged as a heavy/power metal band, later transitioning to death metal upon the arrival of Allen West and Kam Lee, the latter credited with inventing the 'death growl,' first showcased in their 1986 demo.

Throughout its history, the group underwent numerous lineup changes and temporary disbandments, transforming from its early incarnations as MASSACRE, comprising former members from Mantas (precursor to Death), and Death, to achieving a resurgent success in 2021, culminating in the release of their studio album "RESURGENCE".

November 2024 saw the release of Massacre's fifth studio album "NECROLUTION" via Agonia Records, as the band persists in delivering their distinctive old-school death metal sound and presenting fresh material.

As Massacre heads into 2025, the band will also deliver a mix of classic hits, fresh material, and a few surprises. Get ready for some real old-school death metal.

Making waves in the country’s metal scene for almost two decades, the Mumbai-based death metal outfit has firmly established its sublime blend of extreme aggression infused with undertones of groove.

In 2017, ATMOSFEAR put out their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album and have toured the country extensively since forming in 2006. Starting out as a typical four-piece death metal outfit formed by Guitarist/Vocalist Bruce McKoy, eventually evolved into the current three-piece juggernaut with Bassist Shawn Phulpagar joining in 2017 and Anannya Patil on Drums in 2025.

REGICIDE (Death Metal, Bengaluru)

Formed in late 2016, the band is continuing the tradition of Old School Death Metal. The word 'Regicide' literally means overthrowing of a throne by conspiracy; the concept is derived from Celtic Frost's earlier material. Bands that influenced Regicide include Bolt Thrower, Benediction, Cancer, Unleashed, Entombed, Desultory, Malevolent Creation, Obituary, Massacre, Morbid Angel, Pestilence, Asphyx, Sinister, Pungent Stench, Sepultura, Sarcofago, etc.
