About the Event

We all know how important breathing is: but do you know how to breathe optimally for your body and life? In this session you will learn about different breath patterns and their impact on your health and wellbeing through the lens of breathing science and somatics. You will also be guided through simple yet profound protocols to gently and sustainably shift towards more efficient and natural breathing patterns. (Please note this practice is not the same as pranayama.)


When you breathe in harmony with your body's needs you experience greater clarity of mind improved focus and attention more vital energy balanced emotions better sleep and improved physical fitness. This approach is perfect for anyone seeking practical and empowering ways to transform themselves and their lives for the better.


No prior experience with breathwork is required—but bring an open and experimental attitude for maximum benefit. We will be doing a series of short protocols (~5-10 mins) with plenty of time in-between for reflection interaction and feedback followed by a longer practice sequence (20-30mins) towards the end of the session. Please bring your own mats and/or a cushion or blanket for your comfort. The session will be done in a mix of seated and lying down positions.

Instructions

1. The studio is located inside hotel Ajantha, next to the reception. Parking is available.

2. Please come 5 - 10 minutes early or on time to avoid disrupting the class.

3. We follow a bring your own mat policy for hygiene purposes. If you forgot your mat, you can buy one at the studio at a cost of 1600/-.

4. Please carry an eye mask, pillow, towel or shawl to make yourself comfortable during shavasan.

5. Lastly, we request you to leave all judgement at the door and enter with an open mind :)
