I travel a lot, so pretty common to stay in Marriott’s and Oberoi’s .. first time I visited Lalit was when a friend was visiting, came with my wife and son for a few drinks and snacks. Got into the bar, about to sit down, they said they can’t allow my 9 year old son to sit with us.. typically in pubs and bars he sits with us while snacking while we drink. But this was a tricky refusal.. they said we can go to the 28th floor.. the restaurant has pretty good ambience there and it’s not an issue with a kid.. we went up .. reached there.. the place is not open .. one server said he can serve us in the lounge.. say for 10 mins .. only drinks, they can’t get any snacks for my son.. decided to come down to 24x7 restaurant .. so moved again .. came back in the lobby.. No one is present to greet guests .. sat down in the first table which has 5 seats.. after a couple of mins a server comes and tells us it’s reserved for someone else .. ???? .. by this time the only reason I stuck around was because I had invited my friend to this place and it would have been awkward if we had to change venues.. I spent 6k for 3 people, 4.6k after Zomato discount but got to say I will never visit again..

we pay for luxury at such properties. Which is completely missing with The Lalit, CP, New Delhi. both the days there were various issues. diffrent staff coming in at the restaurant and keep commenting same thing was requested toove on 2nd floor for breakfast. they had shortage of Eatery crockery. service was super delayed. then we requested to move on grd floor again to the pay the bill. such service standards are unacceptable.

I think they need to learn hospitality .. If people come to you for 25 long years and still you give them a feeling they need to walk away immediately after dinner and coffee , there is something terribly wrong on the values you run as a company …

Really bad and rude service provided throughout. Very delayed service as well. Please do not go for their buffet. Highly disappointed after spending a ton of money.
