We visited The Lalit Chandigarh to celebrate my parents' 22nd anniversary, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-notch. • Service & Staff: The highlight of our visit was the impeccable service. A special thanks to our server, Abhi, and the manager, Joginder, who both went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special. They were attentive, warm, and professional, ensuring every detail was taken care of. • Food: The culinary experience was outstanding. The food was absolutely amazing—flavorful, beautifully presented, and prepared to perfection. • Ambiance: The sophisticated atmosphere of the hotel provided the perfect backdrop for such a landmark family celebration. If you are looking for a place in Chandigarh that combines luxury with genuine warmth, I cannot recommend The Lalit enough. Thank you to the entire team, and especially Abhi and Joginder, for making this day so special for my family!

Pre booked Gluten free food for a gathering. Chef met with us before party, and ensured all protocols for gluten free food (cross contamination free). We loved the food and experience and would visit again when in Chandigarh.

Today we dined at Baluchi . We ordered galauti kebabs , malai tikka and a few drinks too ( Cosmopolitan, fruit punch and Manhattan ) and it took almost 45 mins to serve our drinks.. By then we had finished our starters and had ordered dinner . Infact we had to remind them again and again. This was pretty irritating . The staff is courteous but not sophisticated and polished ( so unlike a 5 *) . Dal Baluchi and methi malai chicken both were good . Ok type of experience .

The rating unfortunately reflects more of what I experienced- a complete lack of courtesy- by the serving staff especially at the end of the meal when he had to check the breakage of the amount paid through Zomato app. I would have gladly provided him the information only if he had politely asked me for it as I usually do everywhere. But to my dismay, he just pried the phone out of my hands and started looking for the same while I looked aghast at this misdemeanour. I still politely interjected that this gesture wasn’t welcomed at all and he should have instead asked me for the requisite information; but he just kept staring at the phone frigidly. This one moment put a complete dampener of my culinary experience here, and unsurprisingly I have always found the staff especially at their other restaurant oko to be impeccable in customer service! So imagine my disappointment with this behaviour which I am rightfully concerned to point out!

We ordered the Mug chicken Shoba soup, which was very salty, and then we ordered the mutton biryani. The pieces were very large. The mutton was not cooked to perfection, which is a least expected from a five star hotel.
