I’m visiting India for the first time. So far I’ve visited Mumbai, Arungabad, Udaipur, and currently I’m in Agra. It’s been a few weeks since I had a drink, partly because I’m respecting the culture of the family I’m traveling with and partly because most drink menus look like the mixology of a college freshman trying alcohol for the first time…or I see menus that think martinis have wine in them (YIKES!). Anyway, I was able to slip away to try Kiskey Whiskey located adjacent to my hotel. The host taking your name at the door, standing before 2 closed silver doors give this place an elite vibe, and the cool, dark, blue, dimly lit interior keeps that feel going. The place is larger than I guessed it would be, and has tables, loungers, and bar options for seating or meeting with friends/associates. The second night I went on a Sunday, and they had a DJ and a large screen tv featuring the cricket match between Australia and India (the cheering/jeering fans added electricity to an already cool space). Back to my whole point for writing this loquacious post, is that the drink menu was far superior to other places I’ve visited so far (I did not try any food). I wasn’t hopeful for good taste in my drinks, but had the good fortune of meeting a well traveled mixologist who’d worked in more adept spaces like the UAE. His name is Harry. I tried the signature drink, with a smokey surprise element added by his associate Avdesh (sorry about spelling) created by torching blended scotch. It was more elegant than many drinks I’d had, so I moved on to the Shalimar, a vodka and red cabbage drink served in a tall, beautiful white wine glass with a cherry float that when mixed turned the whole thing pink…ultimately it looked better than it tasted, but was still tiers above many drinks I’ve had in the US and abroad. Then I tried Harry’s Old Fashioned. This is the drink that was the highlight to my sojourn. Harry makes the best Old Fashioned I’ve had in years. Spicy and smooth with just a touch of sweetness. His old fashioned alone makes a stop at Kiskey Whiskey an imperative for those who engage in drinking spirits.

The food is too good! loved the overall vibe of the place. A real gem . we ordered tandoori non veg platter, tarah chicken and tawa mutton. Each dish was really yum Mr Ahmed helped us choose the dush, he was knowledgeable and polite. We had a great experience!

The ambience is way too good. Food was tasty and with good quantity, whether its starters or the main course. And they provide you with 15% discount on display of corporate Id’s. Thank you to Mr. Azharuddin who was great at serving.

Be careful, they don't provide finger bowl after the main course. You have to go and smell the washroom if you want to wash yor hands after the food.

I had the WORST experience here! Their food sucks, they don’t put enough alcohol in their cocktails and they deceive the customers by telling them the offers initially but don’t agree to apply it at the time of billing. WORST!!!
