Great experience. Had heard a lot and always wanted to visit. The lunch today was brilliant. Every single dish was very well prepared - the starters, vegetables, rotla and thepla, chaat, desserts. The service was absolutely top class. But best of all was the ambience.

If you’re feeling indulgent with your wallet, then this is an experience worth trying. If it’s your first time, use the stairs to the restaurant, they’ve used the staircase to showcase a lot of history of the place, and its owners.

The charge for a bronze thali comes around Rs 2200. on top of that it has to be prepaid before you can go to the restaurant which is on the rooftop, obviously I had to come down to pay They just tell you the total amount payable, after payment i realised, the charge has 18% GST and 10% service charge(no option is given). The service was no better than a low class dhaba, since it's a gujrati thali, they give you no time to breathe, one after another server will keep coming to serve you something or the other. The food quality was low, even the ordinary aloo ki subzi was tasteless. There is no balance in food, on one side rasam is being served and next to it is chach, white butter instead of serving individual portions was served from a common bottle and surely many people would have used their hands to take off the butter from the spoon. Overall there was no finesse and no taste in serving such an expensive vegetable. The only dishes worth mentioning are Bhakri, Mohanthal, Basundi.

Were visiting from Mumbai for the cricket match and wanted to have a Gujarati thali, food is okay like any normal place but it is extremely overpriced for what they offer. Not worth paying 2200 for a Thali at all. Service was extremely slow (probably because of the match crowd) but i wouldn’t spend so much for something that mediocre.

Below average food and don't get how people have rated this 4.6 Nothing special in terms of taste and authenticity just similar to any other cafés. Ambiance and deserts were good all other' In the main course were sub par. Don't waste your money 2.5k per head is just a waste.

A deeply humiliating and upsetting experience. We were seated in the restaurant’s premium Silver Thali section. There were four adults in our family, and we had chosen the restaurant’s highest-priced offering for lunch. We sat down, and the welcome drinks and food began arriving. Around ten minutes later, a foreign guest was seated nearby. He was welcomed with flowers, and the staff performed the traditional hand-washing service for him at the table. None of this was offered to us. To be clear, we had booked and paid for the exact same premium Silver Thali experience. The restaurant has separate Silver and Bronze sections, and we had specifically chosen its highest-priced offering. Yet, in our own country, we were made to feel like second-class guests while a foreign national received visibly preferential treatment. When I confronted the staff, their explanation was that they had “forgotten.” But that is precisely the problem. In a highly rated thali restaurant, where the welcome ritual is supposed to be part of the experience, how can it simply be “forgotten” for an entire Indian family but remembered immediately for a foreign guest? This was not a minor service lapse. It was insulting, discriminatory and completely unacceptable. Even good food could not repair the damage after that. The entire mood of what was supposed to be a pleasant family afternoon was ruined. We left feeling disrespected despite choosing the restaurant’s most premium thali. It is deeply disturbing that, even today, Indians can be treated as less important than foreign nationals in their own country. I would strongly recommend that people avoid this restaurant if they do not want to risk being disrespected—even after choosing its premium Silver Thali experience. Hospitality should be equal for every paying guest. Your nationality should never determine the warmth, respect or service you receive.

very rude person on reception and they don't care about time value. my booking for 9 PM and they give table on 10 PM, very bad and poor time management
