Birmies is a truly timeless icon of Ahmedbad. Its vegeterian, value for money and very very tasty food with some Amdvadi twist. I used to frequent it when I was an Ahmedabad localite a decade ago and we just visited it last week to live the old times and it has not changed a bit! No doubt the interiors have become better, parking could be a problem if you have a car but its all worth it. You can not go with the classics menu...order humpum paneer, rajma chawal or any of the parathas...the veg cutlets are to die for! You can have a very decent meal for four under 1000 rupees and you will surely come for more!

#foodie #birmies #humpumpaneer #ahmedabad #ipaidforit Birmies near Panjrapole cross road... so we went on a short trip to Ahmedabad and we reached around 2.45 and it was a bit late for lunch, so was searching for place to eat with family and saw Honest and decided to have lunch there... as we were parking we saw Birmies.... so went there to have a try... I have heard about Birmies before but this was the first time I went their for having food... so here comes a small review.. We ordered. 1) Hum Pum Paneer : This is their one of the best selling dish.. It had Spicy paneer in Red Gravy with 4 pieces of Garlic Bread... It was really nice though the quantity looks small it is heavy on stomach.. Rating 4/5. 2 ) Cottage Cheese Sanmargo: I am a Rice lover so went with this...again one of the hot selling items. It had Mexican Fried Rice with red beans Gravy, and covered with Cheeseeeeeee, It was yum.. overall it was really good but they can increase some flavors in Mexican rice which tested normal... Rating 4.5/5 3) Plain paratha with chana masala : As we have opted for without tomato without garlic chana masala,it tested very basic and the parathas were Ok ok. Rating 2.5/5 4) Puri Sabji: It was decent , Quantity was good and filling.Though it was basic It tested good. Rating 4/5 5) Hakka noodles: This is something worth mentioning... we opted for Jain Hakka noodles and what they serve was really good... Noodles were perfectly cooked and the veggies were properly boiled and cooked to perfection...Flavour was bang on as per requirement. Rating 4.5/5 Food is really good and service is great... We will visit Again. #onceafoodiealwaysafoodie #dipammehta #loveforfood

Small, cozy place to hangout. I ordered: 1. Cottage cheese shalmargo: Herbed rice served with red gravy and paneer of Mexican flavour. Topped with cheese. Good quantity. 4/5 2. Calzone: just like stuffed pizza ghughra. 😬 2.5/5 3. Mexican burrito bowl: ok ok. Better go for the shalmargo. 3/5 Overall ratings: 4/5 👍👍

There is price difference in Vastrapur and sindhubhavan road. Vastrapur branch is charging less for same set of food items. Ambiance is better at Sindhubhavan road branch. Hum pum paneer and Shalmargo must try.

Unfortunately, my recent visit to Birmies was quite disappointing. The food quality was not up to the mark — particularly the Manchurian, which didn’t taste fresh and had an unpleasant smell. The flavor was below expectations and definitely not what I’ve experienced here in the past. What made the experience worse was the response at the feedback counter. Instead of addressing the concern politely, the feedback was not taken in a positive or professional manner. I’ve enjoyed dining at Birmies before, but based on this visit, I’ll have to seriously reconsider returning in the future. Hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works on improving both food quality and customer service.

The manager of this place is very rude and thinks as if he is managing a 7 star restaurant, Also there is very few seating capacity at vastrapur branch which results into extremely high waiting times roughly around (35-45 minutes).
