Service could be better. Food was good and staff were polite. A decent unlimited South Indian menu. You will get certain Dosa varieties and Malabar paratha on order. Rest of the dishes were there in buffet. Parking of 4 wheeler is not available. You need to find a safe place to avoid vehicle towing.

A great new place for south indian food in Ahmedabad. I would recommend having the south indian buffet as you can have all the options the place has to offer in one attractive price. The service is a bit slow though and hygiene could be further improved.

cockroaches were there in the dining area on the sofa. food was okay but hygiene was not at all upto the mark. need to improve.

Today, I visited Gwalia Vanakkam for lunch with a group of four friends, and the experience was thoroughly disappointing. The service was absolutely pathetic — we were left waiting repeatedly, even after requesting multiple times. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, basic items like sambhar were served nearly 10 minutes after the dosa had already arrived. Even then, we were given just one bowl of sambhar when we had clearly asked for five. The food quality was equally poor. The masala boondi was overly sour, the potatoes were half-cooked, and to top it off, we ordered a Schezwan dosa but were mistakenly served a Spring dosa instead. The overall taste was substandard, and the lack of attention to both service and quality was shocking. This visit was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this place based on our experience.

⭐ 1 Star Extremely disappointed with Gwalia Vannakam. The food quality was far below expectations – lacked any authentic South Indian flavor. To make things worse, the service was painfully slow. We waited nearly 20 min for simple sambhar. The staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional, with no sense of urgency or courtesy. Definitely not worth the hype or price. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food or decent service.

on 7th June me and my wife booked two seat one day before. After visiting we tested three items and found left over of day before. then reported to manager but his body language seems like helpless. then we left place without eating anything. but that tested items upset my stomach and suffered a lot. staff is not trained. food is left over and even not hot. test of all items was very worst. don't go there you will loose your mood, time, and money.

it's been the very worst experience here, no proper taste in a single ordered dish. we have ordered masala boondi it was very sour, masala dosa taste very pathetic no properly boiled potato n without any taste. Schezwan dosa served without proper Schezwan paste. no Sambhar was served on time in spite of many reminders. one of the basic expectations from any restaurant is water, that too not served on time with so many reminders to the waiter.

Gwalia is a big brand, but after visiting Gwalia Vanakkam, I realized that this place is pathetic in all parameters. Service is third class. We have a group booking all are un satisfied. This is not authentic South Indian food. This was not accepted by Gwalia Group..... This was my first and last visit. not deserve even one star.

There is no proper maintenance of this place and the food is sometimes stale. You can get much better service elsewhere. The food quality is excellent though.
