Last Sunday (16/11/2025) visited K’s Charcoal for the first time. I was not sure about visiting the place earlier after seeing their ratings on zomato, but they have very good ratings on Google; so decided to visit the myself and then review it. It was quite a few years now when it is opened in Ahmedabad. I am always an admirer of places which serve authentic or near to authentic cuisines of respective regions. My main reasons to go to K’s Charcoal is to try their Neapolitan Pizza and uncommon pasta varieties. The server was aware of the menu and also aware of the dishes which we could enjoy on our first visit. He recommended half n half Fire Alarm & Verdure pizza for the pizzas. We also tried their both the soups Truffle & Potato Soup and Tortilla Soup. Both the soups had the perfect consistency and were also comforting for the winter evening. And I liked that they didn’t keep the usual soups just to please everyone, Tortilla Soup was tomato based soup and it was ridiculously tangy still you will enjoy that tanginess with creaminess of Avocado and crispiness of tortilla chips. Truffle and Potato soup had gooey fired potato balls and quite comforting for the a bit chilly evening. Fire Alarm pizza side had Green Chilli, Onion, Fried Garlic, Bell Peppers, Fresh Red Paprika & Mozzarella Cheese as ingredients while Verdure had Roasted Zucchini, Baby Corn, Onion, Bell Peppers, Cherry Tomato, Artichoke, Basil Pesto Drop & Mozzarella Cheese, and pizza sauce was pomodoro. I must say both the pizzas were extremely delicious and after a while I had real good pizzas in Ahmedabad after Ciao Pizzeria. We also had Avocado Toast with Sourdough Bread and Hot Chocolate before heading towards our pasta. I was trying Avocado toast for the first time and liked it. Hot Chocolate was just okay. For pasta we opted for Cheese Tortellini in Lemon Butter Garlic Sauce different from the traditional versions. It was extremely sour, garlicky, buttery and cheesy at the same time. If you get bored trying usual Arrabbiata, Alfredo & Pesto sauce and brave enough to try something new, then you can try this one. And at the last for desserts we had Toffy Sticky Pudding on the recommendation of the manager. Initially, you might not feel like you are having good desserts, but when you have two three spoons of it, then it started to grow on you. The staff members were versed and polite, but found a bit under confident. The service was excellent, you don’t feel like they are hurriedly doing anything despite facing Sunday rush. We got our table outside as the indoors were already pre-booked for the evening. Outdoor seating arrangements were comfortable too. Looking forward to visiting it soon again.

I had pizza, pasta and flatbread. Pizza was not good as I tried multiple places in India, USA and Canada. Even in Ahmedabad I tried pizza at various locations and they even have a better taste than here. If you really want to enjoy ambience then definitely go for it.

After hearing much hyped up reviews, we went to explore K’s charcoal to try their italian range. Ordered starters Cheesy nachos and onion rings which were amazing in taste. Then we ordered Pizza which had a dead insect in it which we realised while eating. Staff took back the remaining pizza and apologised. This was a very unsettling experience. Basil pesto pasta was our next dish where pasta was raw and pesto tasted stale. We ordered pina colada and cranberry mojito in drinks. Pina colada was too sweet in taste and lacked flavours. Cranberry mojito was good. We ordered twik and chocolate cheese cake which was overly sweet in taste. Waffle with Nutella and fruits was good in taste but overpriced. Serving staff took ages to respond to your requests and there were no basic cutlery / tissues etc provided on their own. We had to request it everytime. The amount they charge for food deserves us better service. Overall the ambience was good, poor service, lack of hygeine and inconsistent taste across dishes. It can be missed and is not a must go. Doesnt deserve the hype around it.

They have good ambience. Which is only they have. We had not so good experience here with their service. We ordered funghi pizza which costs approx 1200 rs. And while serving waiter fall one slice . One slice costs 200/- we said it happens. And ignore it. After that i asked for dip and waiter said they have no dip. Really pizza outlet has no dip. And they are serving dip to other clients . Almost half pizza over and they served dip after multiple asks. Pasta is average. Mojito has 50% ice. Then main disaster is at time of bill. Luckily i checked items in bill and found its not our bill. Is it customer’s responsibility to check if it’s their bill or others?

The food was not so good for what it was priced. The ambience was nice but the waiter was arrogant. So the overall experience was ruined. Didn’t like the dessert selection.
