⭐ 1/5 — Ooroo Cafe Ahmedabad: Very Disappointing Experience. Not Worth the Social Media Hype. I visited Ooroo Cafe after watching a viral reel where they claimed to serve some of the best South Indian food. I came here with high expectations and was very hungry, but unfortunately the actual experience was extremely disappointing. The food shown in the reel and what was actually served were completely different. The idli did not taste fresh and felt like it had been prepared much earlier. In the reel, they showed a generous amount of ghee, but in reality there was very little ghee used. The presentation and quality did not match what was advertised. We ordered their famous Masala Puri Dosa, but it was nowhere close to expectations. It was not crispy at all and the taste was extremely poor. Even many roadside South Indian stalls provide better taste and quality. The chaas tasted okay, but considering the price of ₹59, the serving style was disappointing. It was provided in basic packed bottles, and they did not even provide proper glasses for drinking. The masala chai was another big disappointment. The taste was so bad that I could not even finish drinking it. The lemon water tasted like only sugar water with too much sweetness and no proper balance. The service also needs serious improvement. Even after ordering around 35 items, they were not providing enough basic things like tissues. Small things matter in hospitality, and this was missing. Another strange thing was that rasam and vada were both available separately, but they refused to serve rasam vada. I don’t understand this kind of strategy from a customer’s point of view. Overall, Ooroo Cafe looks very attractive on social media, but my experience was completely different from what was shown online. The taste, quality, quantity, and service did not match the hype. I personally had a very bad experience and will not visit again or recommend it to my family and friends unless they make serious improvements.
