This is a very humble kathiyawadi eatery that we discovered thanks to zomato suggestions upon our stay in a nearby hotel. Its located on 2nd floor thats only accessible by the spiralling stairs We went in for lunch at around 1230 when the people just started to come in and by the time we finished there was some waiting. We were really glad to have come in early and enjoy the food peacefully. Now coming to the food, they do have a printed menu but not all things are available. So they have the available items mentioned on a board near the gate. I think its a good way to avoid wastage and have fresh items. We ordered Rajwadi dhokli, which is my favorite in kathiyawadi and undhio along with rotla and bhakri. The Rajwadi dhokli was the best I've ever had and tasted oh so heavenly! Even the chaas was fresh and the accompaniments with the food had a variety- pickled capsicum and cabbage, cucumber and onions and coriander garlic chutney. There are full and half options in curries, the full sufficient for one person and priced accordingly. I loved the dhokli so much we went here again for dinner. We dropped in for dinner early on a precaution and the lunch time scene repeated. There were few people waiting by the time we finished our dinner. The dhokli wasn't available at dinner time but to my delight, they had sev tomato sabzi which wasnt there at lunch. So we ordered that along with mix kathiyawadi sabzi along with rotla and bhakri. Ended our meal with kadi khichdi. The food had an authentic kathiyawadi taste to kick your taste buds. It's simple, fresh and tastes homemade. Dont expect anything much with the ambiance but the food at this humble dining place was definitely a highlight of my Ahmedabad trip. I will make it a point to come back here if i visit Ahmedabad again.

What a awesome food experience. The menu posted looks so tempting and had a tough time figuring what to order. Am here for work and this is such a change from the sweet gujju good I have had always in Mumbai Finally settled for theplas, bhakri, Dev tamatar, paneer masala and jeers rice. Loved it all. Could taste the tartness of the tomatoes against the small sev while in Mumbai it’s always the bigger sev which overpowers the dish. Was a perfect dish for the rustic bhakri The theplas were soft and melt in your mouth and can be had just as is The jeera rice and paneer masala was a good end to the meal overall. Big smile on my face for the quality of food overall. Thank you guys !!!

The speed at which the food was delivered was excellent. Our order was delivered piping hot and the delivery person was polite & courteous. The food was delicious. Particularly the Masala Rice and Ringan Nu Oro. Worth repeating.

There are two varieties of cuisines in Gujarati , at least the ones I am aware of. The one is the usual sweet variety which at times doesn't even have onion or garlic. The other one is a much spicier one with onion and garlic. Now, this place serves what is called as the kathiawadi cuisine which falls under the second variety. This is a hidden jewel on the first place which you reach after climbing up spiral staircase. The hospitality is great ..The food though simple (I ordered a meal) but tasty. They served three phulkas, basmati rice, aloo tomato baji, mixed pulses subzi, sweet dal and chaanch. Oh my god ...The food was filling and sumptuous . Just go try it. The best part is of course the bill. Btw it's a must visit if you don't mind the space to taste delicious food. Here goes my rating for this place Food:4/5 Value for money: 5/5 Ambience: 2/5

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: Didn't matter much to me 😊 What's must try: Shivsakti aloo, Rajwadi dhokli, Ringan no olo A nice small restaurant with excellent food and service. Worth a visit. Do not expect a luxury of ambience and sitting.

This place is a small place but provides khattiya to sit and have meal... you get an oldtime roadside dhabba feel. Food is ok . Cleanliness is just ok .staff is ok ..nothing specifically to complain and so a 3 on 5 .
