El Chico, Prayagraj – A Culinary Gem in the Mahakumbh Nagari! Prayagraj holds a special place in our hearts, for the sacred experience of taking a holy dip in the Ganga. And just like the purity of the river cleanses the soul, El Chico nourishes it with its exceptional food, diverse menu, and heartwarming hospitality. From The Baking Company to Veggie Veg and the Fine Dining experience, we tried it all—and now we need another trip just to explore more! Lucky are the locals who get to indulge in this food paradise every day, while we in Delhi are truly missing out! Too engrossed in savoring every bite on Day 1 we feasted on Dosa, Chaat, Chole Bhature, Bedmi Aloo Puri, Kulcha with Dal and Paneer—and, to our surprise, the Vada Pav and Dabeli were even better than what we get on Mumbai streets! Day 2 was a mix of flavors with Thai Chili Soya(I could not tell its not chicken), perfectly steamed Dimsums, fresh Sushi, a sizzling Continental platter, melt-in-the-mouth Veg Galouti Kebabs, and, of course, the iconic El Chico Pudding, perfectly balanced Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, and a refreshingly tropical Piña Colada. A special shoutout to Gaurav and Mohit, whose warmth and hospitality made the experience even more memorable. El Chico isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, a journey, a love affair with food. If you haven't been here yet, are you even living? Pictures can’t do justice to this gastronomic wonder—just go, indulge, and let your taste buds thank you later!

We visited El Chico for lunch on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised by the ambience and quality of food. It is a 4 storey building which has the bakery on ground floor and restaurant on the 3rd floor. We tried their Veg Platter in which all the starters were good. In main course we tried Palak paneer, malai kofta, dal makhni and bread basket. The main course was equally good and breads were very soft. The chilli garlic noodles were tasty and seemed sizzlers are popular there as well. The quantity of items is large. Must visit place when in the city.

I felt the pricing was a bit high considering the food was just average. I can find similar taste at some mid-range restaurants too. Also, please consider increasing the quantity of your starters. Lastly, it would be great if you could add your menu to online platforms so people can check it out and plan their visit better.

I was visiting Prayagraj and some friend recommended this place. Its a overpriced restaurant with very average food quality. Tried thali and one of worst i have eaten since last few years at Veggie veg 1st floor. Also visited their dine dine restautant on 3rd floor weird rules and limited menu at lunch.

Went there yesterday (6th feb 2025). The lady at the reception was super rude, screaming at customers, guards, to staff on the phone, incapable of handling the rush she went beserk. Walked out of there and went to Dakshin next door. They were super polite, amazing food and lovely service.

Today it took 45 mins for the order to come and we needed to cancel 1 order because of their bad service. Otherwise their service is good.
