What can I say about Aalishan ...It's my all time favorite Biryani joint in Bangalore. I am Bengali and to me Biryani is just the Bengalis make it - with long Basmati rice light yellow in color , rich in aroma , accompanied with a well boiled big piece of mutton/chicken and of course a well boiled well marinated whole potato , and Aalishan makes it perfectly . Eat one plate of Mutton Biryani with Mutton Chaap and I am sure you will forget the rest :) And for your sweet tooth please try their Firni . :) :)

If you are a Bengali and you love kolkata Biryani, then this is the place for you. Not too good as compared to proper kolkata biryani, but it can satisfy your kolkata biryani craving. Long grain fragrant rice, good pieces of chicken, perfectly boiled potato and egg. Just love their delicacy.

We took mutton biryani and chicken chaap. Portion size was good enough for 2 people. Taste was good. But mutton quality should be improved….

2.5/5 and solely because the food is good, the rest is MINUS. Okay so we got here for lunch today around 1:45pm, we entered and chose a seat near the window. Our server today, Mr. Pramod seemed to have a problem with me haha, didn't give me a menu (gave it to both my parents), which is okay, I asked and he got me a menu, later didn't give me a plate, had to ask him for that as well while he did give plates to the rest of the table. Anyway, his disinterest in the customer and other problems aside. They had NO starters, not a single. They had biryani options, lacha paratha I think and some gravies which is a real shame, they didn't even have any drinks- lemonade or soft drinks, nothing. So we got their mutton special biryani and mutton biryani, with mutton kosha and chicken rezala. Waited for 35-40mins for the food to arrive, maybe more, quite a ridiculous wait time. This only prompted us to look at the Ambience longer- dirty couches, flies everywhere, flies sitting on the cut "salad" and the raita (inedible by the time the food arrives), squeaking fans, light not working in handwash area, not something you'd want to eat food with tbh. Anyway! The food- the biryanis were delicious and curries were okay, the kosha wasn't legit, the rezala was okay, biryani however would get a 4/5 without a doubt. 4 wheeler parking is also available in the area, might have a look around a little! Food: 4/5 Service: 0/5 Ambience: 0/5 Value for money: 3.5/5

It was one of place which I loved for Kolkata Biriyani in Bangalore for several years. but now they have become place for getting food poisoning. I dined there last year and order special mutton biriyani. i got severe food poisoning from the night itself. my friend got a cockroach in his biriyani which he packed to home. however, i still wanted to give them a try this year, and ordered the same dish - special mutton biriyani. I don't even want to share that the mutton pieces were absolutely tasteless (and no meat-wala piece), but the most important thing is that I again got severe food poisoning and taking antibiotics. I noticed some odd hair like stuff in my biriyani while eating, but just ignored it thinking some hair strand from mutton, but now i can realise that was some cockroach legs. It is really disheartening to see such a good restaurant has become the worst. i would still urge the restaurant owner, please maintain hygeine... don't play with regular customer's emotions...

This one used to be my go to place for Kolkata biriyani as I would get at least 70-80% authentic flavours here. But our experience has been awful 3 times in a row now( yes I gave them chances). The worst kolkata mutton biriyani at present in bangalore. The mutton pieces are mostly burnt, the rice is dead dry and you find the burnt remnants of the whole spices( cardamom, cinnamon, cloves). High time they should change the chef or else shut their shop and go on a vacation.

I generally don’t write negative reviews for any place because there are so many factors which could lead to dissatisfaction- and you can’t control all of them. But this one experience is not only about bad dining experience but the Reshmi kebab I had here gave me for poisoning. The driest Reshmi kebab I’ve had ever. Chicken quality was bad, not enough marination, add to that the chutney was also not good.

This place is struggling to survive . It’s a joke on the name of Kolkata biriyani. Those days are not too far when this place will shut down and another restaurant will take over, considering the location where this substandard restaurant is located .. counting days !!!

Service is extremely bad, overpriced food, unclean utensils. Half the time waiters are no there, things ordered at the same time came super late.
