visited for lunch and tried unique andhra dishes like Pappu avakaya, ghee pudi karam dosa, upma pesarattu. I totally loved these authentic dishes. Especially pappu avakaya with papad. Dosa with 3 chutneys were amazing. loved it. In desserts tried mango delight & it was mind blowing. Filter coffee goes perfect with these dishes.

Favourite eatery in Sarjapura. Everything the make hits the spot! Their Ghee Podi Rice was such a surprise, the Ghee Karam dosas and idlis are to die for, and unexpectedly, even their Vada pav, Gobi Manchurian, and chaat is a winner!!

Babai Tiffins offers a wide variety of Andhra-style dishes, from soft idlis and crispy dosas to hearty meals and spicy curries. Their authentic flavors and fresh ingredients make it a go-to spot for traditional Andhra cuisine.

Babai Hotel in HSR has been recommended so many times to me from fellow friends and bloggers and I have been meaning to try them since, forever. When a recent early morning drive to Hosur for visiting family came up, I used up the opportunity to start early up best traffic and a stop at Babai Tiffins newest outlet in Sarjapur, closer to Attibele near Anekal. Thankfully there were lots of on the road car parking available, so I could get in and order shortly. For the pack of three we ordered a MLA aka Upma pesarattu, Kara Pongal, set vadai, ghee Karam idli, filter coffee and tea. It’s self service and all our orders arrived quickly as I picked it up to the table. The place was pretty packed for a Saturday morning around 8.30, we blocked a table before ordering up. I liked the MLA pesarattu and the upma was smeared on this green gram dosa instead of a masala dollop, the texture was great very tasty, but it got cold very quickly so that lessened the whole experience. The chutney I think was coconut chutney as I had wished for the traditional peanut chutney. If it was the peanut chutney, it lacked that nutty punch. The ghee karam idli was very nice with a good and right amount of ghee overload, with the karam podi very flavourful, but fell short as compared to the version I had recently at Chutneys in Hyderabad. Don’t get me wrong it was definitely a good version for Bangalore very different from the ghee puri idlis of Karnataka. The pongal was very good version moderate ghee and cashews, served with coconut chutney, with no sambar, but if you ask they were providing cups of sambar as needed. Filter coffee was good and ended the meal well here, I hope you visit them soon to try their Andhra meals and rice options for lunch, do check them out and share your personal experience.

It’s a nice place to binge on something at any time in the day. Tea is very good. Have tried many items over multiple visits, mostly all were good. Andhra Veg Meals is good too for the price. There is might be some waiting for the table, but they have enough space for standing-dining. Overall a nice hangout place.

I had idli vada today, I was very disappointed with the taste in change, don’t know why you started making sambar like ur competitors near you. Too much chilli and masala with no taste. Also in ur pea nut chutney you started adding more chilli. If you want to limit ur use of peanut chutney then use some other way instead of adding more chilli in chutney. The person who don’t like more chilly, won’t be able to eat idli either with sambar or with chutney as both are equally spicy. Think about it.

Very poor service standards. The meals was terrible. Sambar was not a sambar. The famous andhra pappu was not sufficient and when asked for more, the manager said it was a limited meals. The papad was soft. The subzi was like a roadside gobi kabab; deep fried fake-red colored tasteless oily chewy cauliflower. When we spoke to the lady, she just smiled and took feedback (which was pleasant) but the manager Madhu was very unpleasant and didn’t even care.

I ordered an Andra veg meal and the quantity of the dessert, podi masala, veg fry was extremely insufficient.
