We have been visiting this place since 7 years now and never once been disappointed! That says something. It's been this way since the first time we stepped foot here 7 years ago. This place is a hidden gem in bangalore for chinese food lovers. Today was no different. We love authentic, subtle flavors and kid friendly preparations (having two tiny mouths to feed and all). We ordered the Chinese steamed fish, sesame fried tofu, prawn balls, fried meifun and chicken wonton soup. Even our 1yo daughter could eat every single item ordered! Service was fast despite Sunday rush. The tastes, flavors and spices were SPOT ON! More endearing was their attention to detail, like serving in the right temperature for kids to eat (warm but not too hot). Nothing was oily, nothing was overcooked, nothing too salty. Even the warm water we asked for was served in the right temperature to drink. We would love to come back and hopefully one day, claim to have sampled everything in the menu here. Because honestly, every single dish we've ordered here, the service, the dining experience, everything about this place over 7 years have been lit!

This is “our spot” since ages. When in doubt, we go here and have never once left disappointed. The beauty of this place is everything is clean, and nothing is over the top, including the taste of the food. As a long time patron, my favourite picks are the winter coriander soup, the honey tossed noodles with ice cream for dessert, the prawn and vegetable tempura and the Chinese chopsuey. Some of their pork dishes are also fantastic. Particularly liked the burnt garlic pork wontons. Friendly, professional staff too. Overall, Bangalore Mandarin is like old Bangalore - it’s got a quiet charm that instantly puts you at ease. Highly recommend.

A rainy evening and we were craving for some delicious Chinese on the way back home, so stopped here and ordered up some yummy hot and saucy steamed wantons, followed by a very uniquely made crispy corn cluster that was superbly crunchy and extremely delicious. The chili garlic noodles cage super spicy, just like the way we prefer it, it was a fantastic meal that I would recommend for any Chinese cuisine lover.

The food here is simply superb!! The non vegetarian dishes are delicious. Bacon wrapped prawns and dragon fried chicken are my favourites. The Mandarin special soup is wonderful. This place has great ambience, great service and great food. I have been a regular visitor to this place with my family and friends since a decade.

Legendary spot that has been around for a bit more than 30 years - food has been consistent, always catering to those umami cravings.

I’m perplexed by the rating that this place has gotten- the service was horrible, food was flavorless (the only thing I could taste in the food was oil), recommendations were bad. I found rogue lemon seeds in my soup, chicken was undercooked and over fried- only tasted like cheap refined oil and the servers had no clue as to what was good- everytime I asked for a recommendation all they could say was that “everything on the menu was good”. Please spare yourself the pain and skip this place, there’s plenty of other places that will serve you much better food

They don’t really respect you.. the waiters need to be trained to respect every customer and not only the ones who’s appearance they like. I was chased out because i was 10 mins early. No one from the mgmt contacted me to address this. Never going there again!
