Last Wednesday, the KLG (Koramangala Lunch Group) folks met for lunch at EatFit, Koramangala. Situated bang opposite to JNC gate, this place offers quick bites at value pricing. If you are a college student, regular office goer, employee on the move you will find this place just suitable for a quick snack, lunch, meet up or chai time hangout. Helps that the focus is on eating healthy, none of the dishes were oily, greasy or otherwise decadent. They've also done a fabulous job balancing healthy with tasty, as most of the food we tried was delicious. KLG campers were very happy to be here and try a lot on their menu. Bright, flashing happy interiors, casual seating make this place all the more inviting. We had the below dishes: Tandoori market veg pizza - simple desi ishtyle pissa Spicy Dilli kulcha burger - wonderful desi burger served with ketchup, we missed asking for a tangy chutney which they had too. The kulcha was whole wheat, the stuffing was plentiful and delicious. Quinoa kichdi - the widest variety of Kichdi I've seen at one place and we chose this one. Simple no nonsense food. If needed a pickle or something to lift it up, the crispies served with were good. Unmeat spicy veg biriyani - the dish of the day, a comforting rice dish best suited for office lunch. If I worked close by I'd eat it everyday. Spicy chicken tikka - first time it was served it was still cold, then re heated to be served again. Decent chicken starter Pao - we tried both the Omelet and chicken kheema pao, soft well seasoned spicy Buns served with a spicy sauce. Again whole wheat buns, but with a masala baked into the buns, like the ubiquitous khara bun available in all bakeries in our City. Baked Bhuna chicken samosa - wonderful crumbly pastry on the samosa, decent filling air fryed to perfection We had bottled sugarcane, freshly made ginger chai and jaggery Lemonade for our beverage. Gulab jamoon and turmeric besan halwa for the dessert. The jamoon was awesome. We could not however taste the turmeric in the halwa else good to end on a sweet and satisfying note

At EATFIT , the menu consists of healthy, yummy, honest & wholesome Indian food. I was told that it is prepared with real ingredients, zero trans fat and with special ingredient called love. Today, we visited their Swanky outlet at Koramangala , opposite the JNC. Living up to the expectation of “Honestly Indian”, the menu includes variety of Indianised Kulcha Burgers, Pizzas, Biryanis, Parantha , breads and desserts. You can also order this menu online through Zomato & others. My verdict : great dining destination with contemporary ambience and health oriented menu #eatfit #jnc #honestlyindian #koramangala #healthyfood #mrhajela #thefoodietales

I wasn’t aware that Eatfit has a physical outlet as well in Koramangala. I got to know about it through one friend and decided to visit this place. The place has quite a funky and cool ambiance and can accomodate good number of people. There are some really good corners to click some nice pictures of yourself. Regarding service, it is self service but the items were prepared pretty quickly. We started with some sugarcane juice and coconut water - both pretty refreshing. Then we had the paneer samosa and paneer stuffed garlic bread. The samosa was baked and had a nice filling of paneer making it a healthy version of regular samosa. Garlic bread was made of multigrain bread. We also tried the multigrain bread pizza and spicy dilli kulcha burger. The kulcha burger was actually quite filling and tasted nice. The show stealer was their biryani bowl and 3 layer rice bowl. Both were quite flavorsome. I would also recommend trying their fruit pop bowls. I tried the chocolate one and it was damn delicious. Finally finished the meal with some gulab jamun and kulfi.

Pro - seating and ambience is good.. Con - so called healthy food is heated in microwave as it was damn hot and stayed hot for a very long time. Also, the taste felt like it wasn’t freshly cooked.
