The food was really good, so was the service. We ordered Basanti pulao and kosha mutton along with a few other things in the appetisers. The mutton was cooked so well and the Basanti Polau was authentic. Prasanjit, one of the members, showed great hospitality. All the staffs were well-behaved. Overall, it was an amazing experience!

I went out with my non-bengali partner. I was bit curious whether he will like the food or not, also whether the restaurant will provide that authentic bengali taste or not. But let me tell you, he had an amazing experience. The food was authentic as my Maa cooks. Highly recommend.

We went to the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Having waited around 40 minutes we were finally ushered to a table for two. Shockingly it was placed next to the washroom and a steady que of diners waiting to use the washroom were standing around the table. Anyway we proceeded to order. Again surprise surprise.....the menu on offer was not the one available online. It has a trunkated choice for the diners. For example the non veg main course in chicken and mutton section had only four options. Two of chicken and two of mutton. Bereft of choice and short of time to go to another restaurant, we ordered a basket of luchi (145 bucks @ 36 per luchi ), one dhokar dalna, one kosha mangsho and basanti pulao. After sometime suddenly even before the waiter had placed the plates the luchi and pulao arrived. Then the waiter ran off to get plates, napkin etc. Theplates arrived less the cutlery. In the meantime the other stuff too had been served. We were then signalling and gesturing to the waiters for cutlery which was eventually placed. By then the luchi and pulao were already cold and the gravy was taking the last breath. Once again we were talking sign language with the waiters for salt, chilli and lemon. I eventually asked the staff why was there a curtailed menu. Their reply was not just shockingly ridiculous but also quite funny. They said that the menu was reduced due to the staff having gone for the Bengal elections. We'll dude, the election was over a month back. The new Govt is in charge for three weeks almost. What ever you're having is quite potent. Whatever be the reason for cutting the menu short the paying customers must be informed in advance. The diners can't be ambushed like this inside the restaurant ! This is sheer misselling by the management. Then what is the logic of putting tables in such proximity to the toilet ? And the standard of the service !!! There can't be any poorer service in entire Bangalore. Esplanade management please wake up and smell the coffee !! It's a total Shame !! After all the public is paying for the overpriced food just because we miss good Bangla food. 'Koshekosha' certainly offers a much better dining experience that Esplanade !!

It was everything….the service was disgustingly awful for such an upmarket restaurant. Had to wave and use sign language to just call the servers. Even before plates and cutlery were placed, the food was dumped into our table and then plates and again when they suddenly remembered they gave us the cutlery. Table was placed in front of the toilet and there was a steady stream of customers waiting in queue to use the washroom. Some even grazed my arm to bypass that small space to reach the toilet. The mutton in the mutton Kosha was not fresh. It had a stale fishy kind of smell… The menu did not have many options. Most of the delicacies we expect in an authentic Bengali restaurant was missing. They couldn’t even provide a Fish Kabiraji. And no option of BIRYANI!!!!???? This restaurant is overhyped…overpriced!!! Koshe kosha offers better options, quality and ambience.
