An iconic place for breakfast. Been going this place for quite sometime now. They are known for their saagu masala dosas and crunchy vadas. Getting a table here is a task. But once you do, it's smooth sailing. Was here with family yesterday. We ordered Saagu Masala Dosa Vada sambar Coffee and Tea No other dish here comes close to the Sagu Masala Dosa. One of the finest and Purest Dosas in Bangalore. Must must try.

Hotel Janardhan is an iconic hotel in Bangalore. Fortunately it lives up to its name and the hype. Whoever is visiting must try the sagu masala dosa, Khara bath (although it’s technically Upma), jamun, rose milk and plain dosa. The Upma/khara bath was surprisingly good 10/10 would recommend.

We were on our Sunday breakfast tour and after devouring idli, vada at Veena’s we headed to this place for their famous Masala Dosa. Again this is an iconic place and has been here for many many decades- Food - Their masala dosa is to die for! Super soft inside with very fresh sagu(filling) and crispy outside! Loved it! The Kara and Kesari bath were equally yummy! Ambience - It has a huge reception, where they have people waiting in sofas, chairs etc. they have outside and inside seating place. Very basic and well maintained Customer service- Great and prompt Value for money- Excellent

A vintage Bengaluru breakfast spot that is always in demand. And for all the right reasons. The saagu masala dosa, vada, khara bath, and badam halwa are permanent favourites. Albeit a bit pricey, one is sure to have a meal of content. The service is prompt too! Janardhan's rustic appeal and bustle makes it a very special and must visit place. The availability of parking too is a very big plus!

The uddin vade was excellent. Dose both Masaldose and Saagu Masala a big let down. The size is generous but the taste was not up to usual standard. The attitude of the cashier / owner that insisted we share tables with strangers was too bad in these times. This restaurant has no COVID protocols in place unlike CTR. We were placed next to a dirty window with unwashed curtains on a table too small for two. The option was sit here, share a table with strangers or leave! Not visiting till COVID is well and truly behind us and even then not till they up their customer service and cleanliness standards.

The taste of their chutney and sambar is below average. The masala dosa was dripping in oil and very average. Even their idlis were below average. The seating area is very clean and neat and that is the only plus point. The waiters look angry and in a hurry even though less than 15% of the tables were occupied when I went for breakfast at 8 am today. I will never go there again.

Had Khara bhaat and Kesri Bhaat. Both were tasty. Quantity was less and the cost high (₹137/- for less than saucer size servings, is expensive).

The masala dosa chutney sambar was exceptional. The waiting time for a weekend was not bad. Problem lies in the service . The waiter was grumpy and was rushing us. First of all he will take all orders at once. Then would ask for coffee before even we finish our breakfast . We needed an extra chair for a 5th person , he denied and said adjust maadi. He got the bill before we finished the meal and kept hovering around our table forcing us to leave.

Never going to this place ever again! Zoom into the picture, look at the pickle closely. You’ll see a big black creature which was a cockroach that I received in the meal I ordered. And heights of staff and manager being impolite..they did not apologise. Instead they just removed the food and were placing another serving in front of me, which I then refused! Don’t go to this place.
