Visited Nalapaka to try out their famous jolada rotti meals. Read a few reviews stating that the service is pretty bad during the weekend when it gets too crowded, so made it a point to visit early afternoon on a weekday. Here are my impressions. Ambience is decent. Nothing fancy, but place was clean. Large groups (8 or more) might find it hard to find a place. Coming to the food, we first have to go pay for the food and get the bill and then sit down and give the bill to the waiter who will proceed to bring your food. The full meal cost 230 and you can have unlimited rice and unlimited jolada rotti served with a huge dollop of butter. The rotti is prepared fresh and served as and when you need one. Out of the accompaniments I found the brinjal curry and the red chutney served to be the stand out. All the dishes tasted excellent, unique in its own flavours. After you are done with the rotti, you are served lemon rice/chitranna which was again very tasty. Then we come to rasam and sambar. The rasam wasn't exceptional but wasn't bad either, the sambar was quite tasty, it had a lot of grated coconut which added to the flavour. Last but not the least was the Payasa which quite frankly you can't go wrong with. It was a really good meal overall and will definitely be back to try their other dishes. Service was excellent and servers were very courteous. Would definitely advice dine in over take away or delivery to enjoy the food hot and fresh. Parking could be an issue for 4 wheelers. Taste - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 VFM - 5/5 P.S Don't forget to try the different " pudi's " kept on all tables.

I’m sure Nalapaka is quite an old hotel & is best known for its authentic jolladh roti meals and tiffins. I’m a generous visitor here when it comes to jolladh roti meals and paddu. Just love both of them. Meals is really good! I definitely recommend this hotel to dine with your friends and family :) 💰💰- Rs. 232/- unlimited jolladh roti meals ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to this place with a friend in Bangalore as he suggested it. Its a very clean and tidy hotel. I tried khali dosa and thalipeeth. Both tasted really well and the quality was equally good. I was told their lunch will be nice and they serve their dishes wich are quite healthy as well. Should try in future... Cheers Nalapaka !

A great place to experience north karnataka food. It is worth the price and they serve hot rottis and rice until your cravings are satisfied. Very good service and warm ambience.

Nalapaka is the go-to-establishment for North Karnataka cuisine in North Bangalore. The delicacies such as girmits, bhajjis, and dosas are full of flavour and worth sharing. The meals are rich, authentic, and wholesome, but arguably a bit pricey for what is offered.

Other than jolad rotti and decent service everything else was pretty bad. Rasam and sambhar? You can get better quality and tastier stuff in hotels which charge 1/4th of this price. Yenngai was nothing special. Other items were of below average taste. Paysa was also bad. Cannot understand the hype nor price for this place. Decor is outdated and seats were unclean. Please save money and your taste buds and visit some other place.

If ever you want to experience service, you can go here.. even if you are ultra rich or middle class, you will be treated alike.. like ppl in a free food line waiting for ur turn.. If ever you want to take your kids and make them learn that life is not fair.. taken them for a lunch on Sunday.. they will learn humility bcos they will be treated that way.. 1. You can get a token for food that does not guarantee that food will be served, the person attending your table should be kind hearted to even listen to you 2. Items will be served if they like you, you may miss one or two items, that's even after you ask they can wish to serve.. read my first line .. it's no customer service.. it's service on their wish 3. PPL who are waiting will not be attended and while you are eating PPL will already queue behind your table and make you feel you have snatched what's theirs.. 4. You will see all of them busy arranging stuff, gng into kitchen, shouting at each other and working in circles.. not sure how come the place can seem to be so busy without attending tables.. that's a life trick you can learn for your office Lastly food is just about ok.. i have had earlier and felt it was better.. not sure what's justifies anything beyond 2 stars.. I think the paid reviews are dng the magic..

Worst restuarant ever! They have a rule of no sharing and it's so disgusting. During afternoon they have only, since we didn't want to waste food we ordered only two full meals and we were three members and thought of sharing but we were unaware of the no sharing rule of this hotel, no board was placed telling that there was no sharing allowed, while we were having food the waiter started telling harshly that we cannot share food you can sit simply but sharing is not allowed. After a few minutes of argument the waiter told go speak to the owner. The owner was also rude, we told them that it's not that we cannot afford three meals for three members but we didn't want to waste food so we had ordered two plates only and told her please put a board that there is no sharing allowed so that customers get to know. But the owner started speaking more rudely and told that this is our hotel our rules and as a customer it's really sad that I could not do anything about it. So yeah please report if any such instances happened with you too. Too rude behavior from the owner side. Very bad

I WOULDN'T SERVE THIS TYPE OF FOOD TO ANYONE !!! Since the zomato delivery review given was pathetic we went in person to pick up our take away. We ordered 2 full meals and extra jolada rotti and brinjal curry. THE FOOD IS PATHETIC, TASTELESS, SUNKEN IN OIL, SPILLED PACKING, MISSING ITEMS (sweet, salad, bhaji, chillies), RUDE RESPONSE. We called them and informed about the missing dishes... She asked us TO SELF CHECK THE PARCEL BEFORE LEAVING. IS IT OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE PARCEL ????
