So with great anticipation I booked kai for my mom's birthday . Looking at the pictures I was quite impressed and thought this would be a great place to celebrate her birthday . The overall evening was quite disappointing . The location and the view from the rooftop was spectacular which is where the positives end . The cocktails were limited in variety mostly all priced over a thousand rupees and I stayed safe ordering a sake vodka pickle juice one that was below par . The starters and salad were both disappointing. The chicken tart was average with predictable flavor and a thick flaky crust that was more like a puff than a tart . The edamame dimsum had a mixed consistency that lacked any flavor and no amount of Chilli oil helped . The salad turned out to be poor quality figs with burrata that did not offer any better flavor. The main courses were worse. The salmon I got was overcooked on the outside and flavourless on the inside cooked in a way that the fish could have been anything . My mom got the sea bass that was no better . Dad got the slow roasted chicken that was bland tasteless and had a rubbery consistency . My friend had a spaghetti that was somewhat palatable due to the large amount of butter . After having asked for a pastry and being assured on the phone that it would be ready needed me to push many people to get it on the table after a wait of about 20 minutes . The cheesecake was just OK with a forgettable base . They however did not charge for 1 piece of cheesecake which was a sweet gesture. However I regretted the whole evening and booking the place as it was frankly overall underwhelming. To make matters worse my dad had severe food poisoning with diarrhea the next day. I'm guessing it was the chicken . Never going back !

Kai bar has been blasting music every weekend without any attempt to sound proof their area. We have requested them many times to not break the law and to be considerate to their neighbours which includes many senior citizens who are unable to sleep since Kai opened in our neighbourhood. Kai’s management has made it clear that civic sense is not a top priority to them. I truly hope we as a society stop visiting such establishments until they learn to abide by the rules.
